CAD

Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through

documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing. CAD output is often in the form of electronic files for print, machining, or other manufacturing operations.

Solid worksSolidworks is professional CAD softwares. It is an 3D design tool for creating 3D modeling,simulating and documenting mechanical parts and assemblies.Solidworks is run on Microsoft windows platforms.

What are major differences between

autocad, solidworks and pro engineer?

1. AutoCad was developed as a 2-D package and then evolved into a 3-D package. The others were developed as 3-D packages. 

2. The user interfaces for the three programs a different. 

3. The native output formats for the three programs are different and not fully compatible. 

4. They are produced and distributed by three different companies. 

Creating my moduleThe procedure invoving in making my module:-

Mainly the module comprising of three parts, first separately need to draw each part and then assembling them at final steps.The procedure and steps are as follows:

At first creating two plate parts according to the following information.

Using A as 125mm, B as 25mm, C as 75 mm and D as 20mm for Bottom Plate, and then saving it on the desktop.

Taking A as 75mm, B as 0 (which means there’s only one hole), C as 25 mm and D as 20mm for Top Plate, saving it on the desktop.

creating a cylinder support by the following information, saving as “Support”.

creating a Nut.

Assembly of the three parts and finally the figure is shown in below:

Module is drawn using solidworks:-Module having three parts and their assembly. Comprising Parts and final designing of the module are shown below:-

My future strateges in field of achieving advanced skills in solidworks:

As in the continuation for persuading an engineering professionalism , the role of solidworks and other computer-aided designing is crucial. I can not escape from those for building carrier in field of engineering. I need them designing my desirable product,it’s simulation and 3-D views. From here to onwards I would honestly adhered to it for learning it’s further applications. I have a dream to work inside as an engineer in mechanical related industries, and I realized to see me in that aptitude definitely required the relevant and versatile usages of sorts of computer-aided designing.
