Routing: Cargo originated in Luoyang, China and transported through
“SILK ROAD” to a remote destination in Balkhash, Kazakhstan via Urumchi,
Khorgos (Sino-Kazakh Border) covering more than 5000 kilometers in 60
days.

Transportation of 6 dismantled mills for a gold mine project
Each mill was dismantled at origin into multiple pieces weighing 50 - 80 tons each.
Cargo was professionally packed, loaded and lashed onto multi-excel / low-bed
trailers
Cargo was transported under special escort from origin to destination over 5000 KM
Door to Door delivery took approx. 60 days.
Technical Survey, Certification and Customs / Transit formalities were arranged at
Globalink Terminal at Khorghos “Sino – Kazakh border”

Copper Mine Project “Bozshakol”
Cargo: Steel structures
Volume of cargo: 6350 CBM / 1025 MT
Door to Door Distance: 9000 km
Modes of Transport: Road / Sea / Rail / Road
Origin / Destination: Thailand / Kazakhstan
Routing: Cargo was mobilized from fabrication yard to Laem Chabang Port by
specialized trailers with further delivery to Qingdao Port, China by chartered vessel.
Cargo was then transported from Qingdao Port by rail via Alashankou / Dostyk
Kazakh – Chinese border up to Ekibastuz rail terminal with further delivery up to job
site by specialized trailers.
Routing
Ocean Leg
Transportation of 96 packages of steel frames with a total weight of 1000 tones from
Laem Chabang Port, Thailand to Qingdao Port, China.
In Qingdao Port the cargo was discharged from vessel and re-packed as per Chinese
Railway engineering / loading plans.
Cargo was loaded and lashed on to Chinese Railway platforms for transportation to
Alashankou / Dostyk Kazakh – Chinese border.
Cargo went through technical surveying and transit customs formalities
Rail Transportation
Preparation of technical loading / engineering plan for Chinese Railway
Arrangements of special rail platforms and wagons. 32 heavy railway platforms and
26 open top wagons were used for transportation of steel frames from Qingdao to
Alashankou / Dostyk border terminal.
Preparation of technical loading / engineering plan for Kazakh Railway and transfer
of cargo from Chinese to Kazakh railway for further delivery to Ekibastuz station
Rail transportation took approx. 30 days while total door to door delivery took 55 days
Scope of work
Collection from Thai fabrication yard to port including packing and crating
Technical Surveying at POL, POD, Border Points and at final Destination
Preparation of loading and lashing schemes and approval of Chinese and Kazakh
Railways (width of cargo up to 4.0 meters)
Entire lot was dispatched by 2 dedicated trains from Qingdao
Export, Transit and Import customs documentation and clearance
Challenges
10 days notice was given to collect entire volume and load onto vessel to avoid
storage at POL
Preparation of loading and lashing schemes and their approval with Chinese and
Kazakh Railways within very short time.
Preparation of export, transit and import documentation in English, Chinese and
Russian languages
Preparation of Import license and certification on behalf of importer was
accomplished prior to arrival of cargo on Chinese - Kazakhs border
Shipment was customs cleared and delivered on site 2 days ahead of schedule.
