• Complementarity with other infrastructure railway investments on Mediterranean corridor in Croatia (preparation of the project documents for Škrljevo – Rijeka – Jurdani financed from CEF 1st call 2014; works construction on section Križevci – Koprivnica – State border - applied on 2nd CEF call; works construction on section Dugo Selo – Križevci to be financed from Transport Operational Programme 2007.-2013. and Operational Programme Competiveness and Cohesion 2014. – 2020.)

• Cooperation Agreement for the project documentation signed between Port of Rijeka Authority, HŽ Infrastruktura and JV for AGCT, on 18th March 2013
Based on public procurement procedure signed following contract:
• Contract 091/2013 for preparation of main design documentation for reconstruction of railway station Rijeka – Brajdica and construction of container terminal Brajdica intermodal yard between Port of Rijeka Authority, HŽ Infrastruktura and Jadranska vrata as client and joint venture Željezničko projektno društvo, Rijekaprojekt and IDOM as consultants, signed on 23.04.2013.

Activity 1. Project management
The Activity covers the overall management of the Action, the supervison of the works, the preparation of reports on the progres of the Action, including the final report, the exchange and coordination of information in the Action and final review of the Actions deliverables.
A Project Manager a Supervising Engineer and their teams all contracted as external experts, will supervise the constructionsites ensuring sound administrative and technical implementation of the works covered Activities 2,3 and 4.
The Activity also addresses communication and visibility, including the preparation of the communication plan and co-ordination of the beneficiares tasks dissemination tasks: organization of conferences and local meetings preparation of the newsletters and publication of a brochure.

Activity 3. Upgrading of the railway station Rijeka Brajdica
The Activity cover the second step for increasing the capacity of the railway station Rijeka Brajdica, namely the detailed design and works for upgrading the 8 railway tracks. The upgrade includes the extension of 4 tracks and reconstruction of the remaining 4 tracks, to align them to the connection tunnel. Moreover a new shunting area will be constructed to connect the tracks to the existing tunnel.
This Activity covers the construction of two service buildings for accomodating new electronic signalling, safety and telecomunication devices (building 1) as well as a new power plant (building 2).
Activity 4. Construction of new track in the connecting tunnel
The Activity covers the last step to increase the railway station capacity, namely the detailed design and construction of the new, 382 m long track in the existing tunnel. The tunnel must be widened to accommodate the second track.
