Conventions of a DVD cover

• Focus on the artist - their face (objectification of face, i.e. close-up on eye or lips), visual motif, their name, a logo or icon.

• Colour selection according to genre• Clear branding between the DVD and other

products such as video, CD or tour.• Simple presentation• Eye-catching• Images of what you will see in the DVD, I.e.

screen-grabs of the video.

• Begin to sketch out your own DVD cover. remember the following:– It is a DVD album (you will need to make up the

names of other tracks– It must include the appropriate icons– You are promoting the video you made and your

artist, not the real video and artist.
