The house and the mouse Notebook – meet chris riddell A master class between the pages… this little notebook is packed full of ideas from our guest
illustrator Chris Riddell, who shares his tips on drawing and creating stories. These activities will inspire children’s own creativity and will be suitable for children working towards Arts Award’s Explore and Discover levels. The notebook will also contain a sneak preview of Chris Riddell’s new book Goth Girl (September 2013) set in an equally creepy house, and the Mouse is the book’s charismatic “ghost of a mouse”, Ishmael.

Materials for Children with Visual Impairment (VI)
The supersize VI children’s fold-out poster has 18+ font size lettering, combined with adjustments to colour and contrast, allhelp VI children to still experience the fun of the challenge. The collectible stickers including the scratch & sniff, are super sizetoo, and a solid rule line around the stickers makes them easier to use. The VI certificate will be over-Brailled, and Braille handout sheets with instructions will be included with each pack.
These packs are subsidized by and produced in consultation with The RNIB National Library Service. We recommend that every authority purchase at least one pack so that VI children in their authority can take part. This format can also help children with learning disabilities and Dyslexia.

Sample/Demonstration packSample packs will be available in advance of main deliveries for authorities in Wales and England, so staff can show childrenon school visits, and use with staff training. Each sample pack will contain four sets of the Creepy House fold out poster andaccompanying sticker sheets, and four certificates, medals, lanyards, bookmarks, wristbands, zip-tag/key, fortune teller andfridge magnets. Delivery is to the same delivery address as on the order form. Scotland and the Republic of Ireland will receivetheir bulk orders first because of their earlier holiday start, and will not necessarily benefit from the sample packs, which won’tarrive earlier than their main order. We regret that we can’t provide Welsh bilingual sample packs.

The books in the collections have been selected with library professionals, reviewers and input from Chatterbooks groups.
