Year after year billions are lost in highly industrialisedcountries due to corrosion. Increasing operatingand repair costs affect the profitability of productionplants. Repairs and maintenance are facts whichincreasingly burden industry.

SAEKAPHEN’s Research & Development intends in materialsintend to assist in overcoming these problems. Where corrosionprotection is concerned, SAEKAPHEN sets new standards. For more than 60 years coating materials and applicationtechnologies have been developed, which provide a reliablecorrosion protection and have consequently become worldfamous under the name of SAEKAPHEN.

The heat cured SAEKAPHEN coating materials are producedfrom complex mixtures to own formulations.

The heat cured SAEKAPHEN coatings offer significant value tothe customer due to high resistance to aggressive media/chemicals as well a high temperature stability over -20° C to200° C. The heat cured SAEKEPHEN coating is only applied in the plantsof qualified licensees because of the special applicationtechnology and the special equipment. The result is a high qualitycoating which increases the operation time of a heat exchangerby more than 5 times.

Investment and Maintenance Costs: Heat Exchanger(150 Tubes 25x1,5x6000mm) over 8 Years

SAEKAPHEN guaranties high profitability in refineries andpetrochemical plants and that’s why refiners worldwide usethat Coating Technology.

The SAEKAPHEN Coating Technology reduces investment costsbecause simple carbon steel can be used even under aggressiveconditions. Furthermore operational costs are reduced becausefouling is prevented on heat exchanger surfaces. The heatconductivity remains constant with the result of better efficiencyand allows a simple cleaning process.

The heat cured SAEKAPHEN Si 14 E und SAEKAPHEN Si 14 EGare high quality duroplast coatings for condensers, condensatereceivers, degassers, boilers, hot water and steam stressedparts.

It is signalizing a high chemical resistance to acids, salt solutions, sea water, gases and organic solvents.

Areas of applicationheat exchangers, tank containers, vessels, storage tanks, turbine and

compressor rotors, salt dissolving installation, pipework, centrifuges

Special featuresSAEKAPHEN Si 14 E / EG offer excellent chemical resistance in particular

to acid media (ph value 1-5) even in high concentration to temperatures

up to 200° C. The Si 14 EG ist resistant to warter vapour and to extreme

temperature fluctuations.

The new SAEKAPHEN Si 57 E-HC opens significant

saving potentials already during the engineering and

investment phase of heat exchangers.

Investment and maintenance costs ifSAEKAPHEN coatings are used

The heat cured SAEKAPHEN coatings offer significant value tocustomers due to high resistance to aggressive media. TheSAEKAPHEN Coating Technology prevents as a key advantagefouling and incrustation in tube bundles, heat exchangers, shipcoolers, in particular used in refineries, in the petrochemical andchemical industry. Operational costs are reduced as fouling onthe surfaces of the heat exchanger is prevented. The heatconductivity remains constant with the result of better efficiencyand allows a simple cleaning process.

The new product SAEKAPHEN Si 57 E – HC is a result of com-prehensive development work, and means a new technologicalgeneration for heat cured tube coatings.

SAEKAPHEN Si 57 E – HC offers a high resistance to aggressivemedia together with a significant high heat conductivity (4,85W/mk). It is the first time that the end user has the opportunityto scale down a heat exchanger due to a tube-coatings whilstkeeping its capacity. Therefore the end-user is saving materialand energy costs already in the investment phase.
