Benchmarking and Requirements - Our approach starts with understanding the app idea in the form of requirements. These requirements are based on the business drivers being impacted, the market opportunity, analysis of the competitive landscape and in some cases, customer/user feedback. Our approach, departs from the traditional methods employed in this step to look beyond the industry considerations as well as innovative use cases beyond the typical enterprise scenarios.
Visualization, Roadmapping and Planning - In this step the required capabilities are organized into a roadmapping tool. These capabilities are ranked by the respective business value, the readiness of the organization to create and use them and the associated cost/complexity of the feature. The tool allows for ranking and prioritization as well as phasing of the features/functions.
We recommend bringing in the UX and visualization elements into the process as early as possible. Therefore, as the high value scenarios emerge and the functionality that makes up these use cases becomes clear, we use a visualization process to create a prototype of the app. Our Storyboard Producers start to assemble a functional storyboard that can be deployed on the mobile device immediately as a prototype. This prototype is created in our tool set and can be deployed without the need for any signi�cant infrastructure. The development of the prototype further re�nes the scope of the app.
During this step the technical solution is also outlined in the form of a technical architecture approach document. The architec-ture provides the key assumptions needed to scope the e�ort associated with the development of the app.
Planning and Budgeting - Based on the scope of work identi�ed in the previous step, the approach and the plan for imple-mentation is outlined in this step. The plan outlines the cost, resources and the high-level work breakdown of the various phases of the app development.
