and who rose the 3rd day are astronomical!... not just one in one trillion, but one out of ten to the 895th power. That is a one over a one followed by 895 zeros. And still more, because every page of the Old Testament talks and Prophecies and characterizes the coming of the Messiah, the Christ in Greek... so, there are actually thousands of prophecies on the coming of the Messiah, all of them fulfilled to the letter in Jesus Christ and His Church. Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. (Jn.1:45)If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me (Jn.5:46).And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. (Lk.24:27) He said to them, This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms. (Lk.24:44). He told them, This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, (Lk.24:46). Prophecies and types of each book of the Bible fulfilled in Jesus Christ and His Church, a total of 1,093 92 Prophecies of the Psalms fulfilled in Jesus Christ 121 Prophecies of Isaiah fulfilled in Jesus Christ

2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. 2 Samuel 7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.Luke 1:32-33: He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. Page 9: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Mt.1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: his mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

12- He shall be called a Nazarene: Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the PhilistinesMatthew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

A reed shaken with the wind?25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Matthew 4:13-16 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

43- Speaks in Parables: Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

44- A Prophet: Deut.18:15, Jn.6:14, Acts 3:20-22.Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

The Jewish Mystery: It is puzzling to consider why some Jews do not recognize Jesus as the long promised and awaited Messiah, with so many prophecies of the Scriptures fulfilled to the letter in Jesus of Nazareth...

... One reason is that the Scriptures make 300 prophecies of the "First Coming of the Messiah", as the suffering servant of Is.53, but make 500 prophecies about the "Second Coming of the Messiah", the triumphal King of Zach.14... to the point that some rabbis talk about two Messiah, and for most Jews, the "triumphant one" is the Messiah they were expecting...

... The Jews did not kill Jesus, the Roman soldiers did, under the command of a Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate... however the "real killers" of Jesus are you and I, because each time we sin, "we crucify the Son of God for ourselves holding him up to mockery" (Hebrews 6:6)...

... The Jews, and you and I, were expecting a Messiah to bring us the kingdom of this world, but Jesus offers us something infinitely bigger, the Kingdom of Heaven... and for it we shout "crucify him"!... we expected a boss, and Jesus is only a God. We wanted swords, and Jesus gives us palms. We were longing to be bosses, but Jesus orders us to love. We were expecting to be victorious, with honors, and Jesus commands us to forgive and to be humble... and for it, as a criminal of high treason, we shout "crucify him"!... The Messiah, Christ in Greek The "Messiah" is an idea and hope that runs through every page of the Holy Scriptures... with 300 prophecies about his "First Coming", and 500 about his "Second Coming"... announcing his character, his time of coming, the type and details of his church... and the Messiah is the core of the heart of every Jew... He was promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David... he shall save Israel and the whole world!...

There have been many who claimed to be the Messiah... the one who "will establish the throne of God's Kingdom for ever" (Psa.12). "Jesus of Nazareth", was one of those who claimed to be the Messiah... racially and religiously Jesus was born, lived, and died a loyal Jew. He at all times observed the Jewish religious ceremonies rigorously. His first commandment was a direct quotation of the "Schema", in Debt.6: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength" (Mar.12:29-30).

Without any question, Jesus is the most famous and influential person in the history of the human race... He never wrote a book, but millions of books have been written on him... He owned no property, won no medals, never held any political or religious office, commanded no army... Yet no person in history has had such an influence on the human race. Even the present year is dated from his birth.

He said that he had come not to destroy, but to fulfill the Jewish Laws. He announced his purpose in Luk.4 with the words of Is.61:1-2: "The Lord anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind. Jesus' reception, During his life was a stormy one: The multitudes flocked to him, and many of them acknowledge him as the Son of God and the long-awaited Messiah (Christ). But the powerful forces in the Jewish congregation, Pharisees and Sadducees, jealous of his popularity, incensed by his denunciation of some of them, and bitterly critical of his disregard for formalism, his willingness to violate some of the minor laws, and very specially for his heretical claim that he was the Son of God, the Messiah, repudiated him, and conspired to kill him... their final conspiracy was not after doing something bad, but after resurrecting a 4 days death, Lazarus! (Jn.12)... they were blind!, they could not see that he was really God... and eventually they saw him crucified, fulfilling the scriptures, as he had announced 3 times before... and after learning of his resurrection, they persecuted his followers!...

"Jesus of Nazareth": Born in Bethlehem, from the Tribe of Judah and the house of David... ... without question, the most famous and influential person in the history of the human race, the greatest asset of Israel... ... the "lamb of God" who takes away the sins of the world, of Isaiah 53 and John 1... ... the long-awaited Messiah (the Christ, in Greek)... the only one God incarnated! John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

45- Priest after the Order of Melchizedek: Ps.110:4, Heb.5:5-6.Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.Hebrews 5:5,6 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

46- To bind up the brokenhearted: Is.61:1-2, Luk.4:18-19.Isaiah 61:1,2 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Luke 4:18,19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

47- Rejected by his own people, the Jews: Is.53:3, John 1:11.Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

48- Not believed:Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?John 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

49- Adored by infants:.Psalms 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Page 16: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Matthew 21:15,16 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

50- Anointed and eternal: Ps.45:6-7, Heb.1:8-12.Psalms 45:6,7 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.Hebrews 1:8-12 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Passion

13- Triumphal entry in Jerusalem on a donkey: Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.John 12:12,13 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. (see also Mt.21:1-11; Mk.11:7-9.)

14- Entry through the "Golden Gate", that shall be shut for ever after his entrance: On Palm Sunday Jesus entered Jerusalem through the Golden Gate. When you go to Jerusalem look at the Golden Gate, it is shut with stone and cement, and with a Muslim cemetery in its front, through which a Jewish Messiah will never pass. Ez.44:1-2 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. 2 The LORD said to me, "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD , the God of Israel, has entered through it.

Mk.11:7-8 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 15- Betrayed by a friend, for 30 pieces of silver:

Zec.11:12 I told them, "If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it." So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. Ps.41:9 Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. Mk.14:10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them. (Mt.26:14-16; Mk.14:43-45) Mt.26:15 And asked, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?" So they counted out for him thirty silver coins. (Mt 27:3-10)

16- Money to be returned for a potter's field: Zec.11:13 And the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter"- the handsome price at which they priced me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord to the potter.

Difference between Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven

Jesus said to Pilate that His Kingdom is not of this world

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

If it is not of this world then where is it? John the Baptist is the first to mention the Kingdom is in heaven.

Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Among the Jews there was an expectation of such a kingdom based on the O.T. Daniel and Isaiah talked of the Kingdom of God being set up on earth to last forever (Daniel 2:44, 7:13,14, 7:18, 7:27. Isaiah 9:7).

Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Page 55: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Daniel 7:13,14 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Page 56: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

The Jews expected a great national deliverer. They supposed that when the Messiah should appear, all the dead would be raised; that the judgment would take place; and that the enemies of the Jews would be destroyed, and themselves advanced to great national dignity and honor. The Jews werelooking for an earthly Kingdom to be set up and last forever. However, John not only mentioned the Kingdom will come from heaven but that repentance from sin was a prerequisite to enter in. Kingdom from heaven and repentance was very foreign to their concept of Kingdom on earth by military conquest of their enemies. And yet, their expectations were not without fault for indeed when Jesus returns He will use force over Israel’s enemies and setup the Kingdom of Israel on earth. Jesus will also raise up King David from the dead to be their earthly King. However, this will not happen till Israel is ready to make Jesus their Messiah (see Daniel’s 70th week

).Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Page 57: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Ezekiel 37:24-28 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore. All these promises connect with the return of Jesus Christin power and great glory. When Christ came the first time, the Jews had failed to separate the suffering Messiah to die for their sins that they could enter the Kingdom of heaven from His second coming to restore the Kingdom of Israel with David as their King and set up His Kingdom over all nations with His capitol in Jerusalem and throne in Mount Zion.

Page 58: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

The first coming as Messiah fulfilled numerous prophecies in the O.T. law, writings and the prophets (See complete listing). However, Jews did not see the need for repentance and been born again into the Kingdom of Heaven until first John the Baptist began preaching the Kingdom of heaven was at hand and then Jesus appeared to preach the Gospel, the good news of the Kingdom of God and how one can enter in. Jesus sent forth first His 12 disciples, then the 70, and then after His resurrection gave the great commission to His disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Then God gave us the Epistles written by Paul, Peter, and the other N.T. writers to clarify the teachings of Jesus and what His life, death and resurrection accomplished and what is expected off the believers in Him and the present and future role of the Chruch. Finally, we have book of Revelations to show us the final form of the perfected Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is from heaven because Jesus who was God came down from heaven and taking a body of flesh dwelt (tabernacled) among men when He was on this earth. Though Jesus as God had an earthly body, His Spirit was one with Father and the Holy Spirit from the moment He entered this world. The power of the Kingdom of heaven was manifested

Page 59: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

John 1:1,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

We see then that the visible manifestation of the Kingdom of God was Jesus public miracles

Matthew 4:23-25 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

through Jesus in His first miracle at Cana.

Page 60: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

We see then that the Kingdom of God was promised in the Old Testament. Entrance into the Kingdom during the Church Age was by a new birth – being born again. Believers today that are saved are joined in Spirit with those that have already passed on to the Kingdom of heaven. Since true believers are saved, the Kingdom of God is within them. Since Jesus is not personally visibly ruling on the earth the Kingdom is invisible to the world till Jesus returns and sets up His visible throne. Jesus was referring to the present agewhen asked by the Pharisees when they would see the Kingdom.

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

When Jesus did miracles, and cast out devils, healed the sick, raised the dead, these were all outward manifestationsof the Kingdom of God within Him.

Luke 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Page 61: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Many scriptures use the term ‘Gospel of the Kingdom’. Theword Gospel means ‘good news’. In these same verses the outward manifestation of the Kingdom of God was seen in the healings, devils cast out, miracles. These outward manifestations of the Kingdom was seen in Jesus, Apostles and believers

Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.Luke 9:6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.Romans 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Mark 16:17,18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Page 62: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Finally, let us talk about Christ’s visible Kingdom when Hereturns to set up His throne. Jesus said as I have sat downin the Father’s throne you will sit down with me in my throne. We know that some of Jesus disciples were wondering whowould sit on His right hand and who on His left when He setsup His Kingdom.

Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. We see then that 12 Apostles will judge the 12 tribes ofIsrael but what about the believer. Jesus answers that in theparable of the talents. Notice Jesus reward to those who usedtheir talents wisely. One was given to rule over 5 cities andanother 10. This tells us that our beginning position in the Kingdom and the Kingly dominion we start out with is directly proportional to the good works we have done while we were alive during the Church Age.

Page 63: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Luke 19:16-19 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

1 Corinthians 3:13,14 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Page 64: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

After the Millennium the Kingdom is made perfect and increases forever (see Kingdom).

The perfected, eternal, ever increasing Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of heaven has also been called the Kingdom ofGod because the Kingdom comes from God. It was the Father’s gift to His Son in return for the great sacrifice His Son willfully died for. Because believers are joint heirs withChrist we share in the inheritance

Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Only one Kingdom of God but 3 divisions: Jews/Israel, Gentiles/nations, Church/Saints that are part of the first resurrection.

One KingdomJews/Israel

Gentiles/NationsChurch/Immorta

l Rulers

Jews inherit the promised land forever and their children will beget children and their children will beget children forever.

Gentiles inherit the saved nations each having their own boundaries that God has pre-ordained before the foundations of the earth. Their children will beget children and their children will beget children forever. In time other planets and galaxies will be populatedThe Church will be composed of O.T. and N.T. Saints that arepart of the first resurrection and therefore will have immortalbodies. They do not marry but as Priests and Kings with Christare joint rulers over the ever increasing and expanding Kingdom. Theirhome is the New Jerusalem suspended over the earth (see Kingdom).

1 Kings 2:4 That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

1 Kings 8:25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

Jeremiah 33:14 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

The prophets had told of a successor to David that should sit on his throne, 1Ki 2:4; 8:25; Jer 33:17.

When John the Baptist introduced Jesus he said the Kingdom of God was at hand. How does Jesus Kingdom teachings and been born again relate to the long awaited Kingdom of God as told in the O.T. Why is Jesus is the bridge between the O.T. and the N.T. When we talk of the Kingdom of Israel we are talking of the promises made to the Jews concerning their land, city and their King. God has promised themthey will possess all the land promised them through His Covenant with Abraham. Issac, and Jacob.

God has also promised them that He will raise King David from the dead and he will be their King.

Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

God also promised them the they will be the head of the nations and no longer the tail.

Isaiah 60:15-22 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

What has God promised the Gentile nations.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

God has predetermined the borders of Gentile nations. They are God’s inheritance.

Psalms 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Psalms 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Revelation 21:24-26 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

What has God promised the Church.

They would joint heirs with Christ over His Kingdom and all creation. They would have resurrected, glorified, immortal bodies just like Christ in His resurrection. They will bethe bride of Christ and live and rule from the New Jerusalem the city of God madein heaven that will descend down over the earth. The Church Saints will rule and reignover the nations and the ever expanding Kingdom of God forever.

Jesus is the door to entering the Kingdom of God. In the O.T. all the promises to the Jews and Gentiles concerning the Messianic reign of Christ were future. The Church age was a mystery hidden in the O.T. but revealed in the N.T. (see ref chart). Because Jesus was the only one that could pay the price of redemption because He was without sin, He made entrance into the Kingdom of God possible. You could only enter in by faith. Faith is believing that Jesus died for you sins. That He took your place being punished for your sins, and dying and going to hell so that you can be free from its hold on your life. In return for your faith in Christ’s redemption, the Holy Spirit joins with your human spirit in a new birth that changes you forever. You were once unsaved in your sins and now saved and have the righteousness of God attributed to you. You were once serving the kingdom of darkness ruled over by Satan, the god of this present world system and now you are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light and the Kingdom of Christ. You were once poor in spirit and now joint heir with Christ over all of His wisdom. Power, riches, honor, glory forever and ever. You are now a member of the Church – Christ’s bride – and will rule with Him from His throne as priests and kings over all things. You can now enter into Kingdom living now because the Kingdom is now.

What Jesus had to say about the Kingdom of God in His parables and teachings.

Mark 4:2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,Mark 4:33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

In the more usual and technical sense of the word, "parable" ordinarily signifies an imaginary story, yet one that in its details could have actually transpired, the purpose of the story being to illustrate and inculcate some higher spiritual truth

Matthew 13:13-15 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Matthew 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Tares, Mt 13:24-30,36-43

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Jesus tell the parable Jesus explains the parable

Page 82: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Here we have the Church age. Jesus is the one the sows good seed in the world. The good seed in the world are those who have truly repented of their sins and have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and born of the Spirit (born again John 3). They are children of the Kingdom – they have eternal life (John 3:16).

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The devil is the one who sows the tares among the wheat. They outwardly profess to be saved. They may sing in thechoir, be an elder, attend church on a regular basis, have theirname on the Church roll. But their has not been true repentance and no true born again experience where theHoly Spirit made their spirit a new creature in Christ. The Church age has gone on for almost 2000 years sinceChrist ascended into heaven telling His disciples to go into allthe world preaching the gospel. He that believes will be saved and he who does not will be lost. During these 2000 years many have died in the Church either as a saved soul (good seed) or a lost soul (a tare). The saved soul when it dies goes to be with the Lord and the body to the grave. The lost soul

Page 84: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

goes to Hades – a holding place in the earth. In Hades willbe many souls that will be judged at the great white thronejudgment because they were not part of the first resurrection (see Rev study chapter 20). Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that

sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. However, in Hades will be tares - souls that were part of the Church. Heard the Gospel, lived among Christians but rejected salvation. At the end of the Church age at harvest time when the dead in Christ will be resurrected (rapture), the angels of God will first separate the tares in Hades from the remaining souls in Hades who are awaiting the great

Page 85: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

white throne judgment. These tares will be immediately cast into hell (furnace of fire where they will be wailing and gnashing of teeth). The righteous seed whose souls went intoheaven will receive their resurrected bodies at the rapture and shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. The tares that are living at the time of the rapture are left behind to go into the great 3 ½ year Christian tribulation period

Mustard-seed, Mt 13:31-32; Lu 13:19

Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Luke 13:18,19 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

Until Jesus appeared on the earth, the Kingdom of God inthe O.T. always had a future view. All of God’s promisesto the Jews, Gentiles, and the Church will be fulfilled whenthe Kingdom of God is perfected (see Kingdom study). WhenJesus came to earth He was the Kingdom of God on earth. Heis the mustard seed. The Kingdom of God started with oneman. That same man became the door into the Kingdom for allmen. The Kingdom of God has it’s presence here on earth in the living saved believers which is a small number compared

Page 87: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

to the Kingdom in heaven which is continually growing larger and larger over the last 2000 yrs as the souls of the saved dead arrive in the presence of the Lord. At the end of theChurch age in the harvest season the rapture takes place. Those saved souls in heaven along with the living saved on earth will all meet with Christ in the air having received their immortal bodies. All those who are in the first resurrection will be priests and kings with Christ and be the rulers over all things in the Kingdom. When Christ returns Israel will be saved and enter the Kingdom of God. Christ will judge the nations and those that are saved will enter the Kingdom of God. When the Kingdom is perfected the nations will continue to have children for ever as a perfected redeemed earthly people. The Church, the bride of Christ will have her home in the New Jerusalem above the earth. The new Jerusalem will be the capitol of the universe and the ever expanding and ever increasing Kingdom of God. The immortal Saints do not have children but their dominion will increase as the Kingdom increases and expands forever. The earthly Jerusalem will be the capitol of the whole earth. The nations will populate over planets and galaxies (see perfected Kingdom for all scriptures). This is why Jesus said the mustard seed grew into

Page 88: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

a big tree (indicated by the birds landing on it). The Kingdom of God will branch out in all directions from this earth – the seed plot of God that He has chosen from among all the galaxies, stars, and planets to be home.

Leaven, Mt 13:33Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

The parable of the mustard seed taught us the outward size and growth of the Kingdom of God beginning with one man –Jesus Christ. Now we have a picture of how the Kingdom of God will grow by the inner working of the Gospel. The woman symbolizes the Church as a woman always symbolizes a religious institution when used symbolically or prophetically. The three measures of meal are the Jews, Gentiles, Church. The leaven here is not used in an evil sense but to illustrate the truth of the working of the Word of God to bring about the Kingdom of God. In the end, God will have perfected His plans for the Jews, Gentiles, and the Church (see reference).

Page 90: Prophecies of the OT Fulfilled in Jesus Christ: AncestryVirgin Birth and Childhood PassionMinistr y Resurrection GenesisGenesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers.

Treasure hid in a field, Mt 13:44Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

The field is the world (Matt 13:38 from the parable of the sower. The treasure in the field is the Church. The Church is in the world but not of the world.

John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

For the joy of saving many souls, Jesus left His Father’sHouse and came to earth to buy the field (world) to havethe treasure the Father put there – the Church.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Pearl of great price, Mt 13:45-46

Matthew 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The same truths as as the parable of the treasure hidden inthe field. Here, the treasure is not hidden but stands outas a pearl of great price. Jesus like the merchant saw the value of His Church above silver and gold and only His precious blood shed on Calvary could buy His Church. 1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Net cast into the sea, Mt 13:47-50

Matthew 13:47-50 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This parable illustrates the sames truths as the parable ofthe wheat and tares. In this parable the sea is the world. Thenet is the Gospel of the Kingdom. From the time of the casting of the net into the sea to when it is dragged ashore for separation represents the Church Age. The Church age has gone on for almost 2000 years since Christ ascended into heaven telling His disciples to go into all the world preaching the gospel. He that believes will be saved and he who does not will be lost. During these 2000 years many have died in the Church either as a saved soul (good fish) or a lost soul (bad fish). The saved soul when it dies goes to be with the Lord and the body to the grave. The lost soul goes to Hades –

In Hades will be many souls that will be judged at the great white throne judgment because they were not part of the first resurrection (see Rev 20 study)

Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. At the end of the Church age at harvest time when the dead in Christ will be resurrected (rapture), the angels of God will first separate the tares in Hades from the remaining souls in Hades who are awaiting the greatwhite throne judgment.

Unmerciful servant, Mt 18:23-35Matthew 18:23-35 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

30 And he would not: but went and cast him okinto prison, till he should pay the debt.31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

The word ‘therefore’ (vs 23) tells us the reason Jesus is giving this parable on forgiveness. Jesus had just finished telling Peter not just to forgive seven times (7x) but seventy times seven (70x7).

Matthew 18:22,23 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

This one servant had owed the King 10,000 talents. A Talent is about 750 ounces of silver equal to about $1,519.23. 10,000 talents then would be an enormous amount by today’s standards and would translate into over a million dollars. This servant could not pay and so the King ordered him, his wife, children and all that he had to be sold and the resulting value to be giving to the King. By Jewish law, creditors were permitted to sell debtors, with their wives and children, into servitude for a time sufficient to pay

When the servant heard the judgments of the King he felldown and worshipped the King and begged for patience andthat he will pay all. Then the King as Lord of that servant hadcompassion and loosed (canceled his punishment) and forgave all his debt. Now this same servant later met another fellow servant thatserved the same King. This fellow servant had owed the servant that was forgiven by the King a hundred pence. The denarius, or penny, was a silver coin equal to from sixteen to eighteen cents. The whole debt would therefore be from

How different to the King who heard his cause without violence. The fellow servant who owed the 100 pence fell down at the feet of the one that grabbed him by the throat and pleaded to him to have patience and he would pay all.

Unlike the King this servant went and got the magistratesof that day and had the servant who owed 100 pence to himput into prison till he paid the full amount. Christ our King has forgiven us of a great debt of sin and showed great compassion when He forgave us all our sins when we turned to Him and repented. So likewise, when we sin against each other which many are minor to our own sins which we were forgiven, we should show the same grace and compassion our Lord showed. When other fellow servants saw what happened to the servant thrown into jail and knew the servant that did it was the same one the King forgave of a great debt felt sorry for the servant in jail and came and told the King the story. When the King heard what happened summoned the servant who he

He told theservant how He was forgiven when he repented and wasshown compassion and pity but did not likewise to hisfellow servant whose debt was much smaller. The King was very angry and delivered him to the tormentors till he pay now the 10,000 talents owed Him. The lesson in Kingdom living. If you know your Father inheaven forgave you of much and you in turn cannot forgiveyour brother’s tresspasses against you, God will hand you over to the tormentors. This means God lifts His hand of protection from you and Satan will be allowed to rob youof victory, peace and joy that comes when you forgive.

Marriage-feast, Mt 22:2-14Matthew 22:2-14 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

The King is the Father in heaven which had prepared a marriage for His son. His son is Jesus Christ. Jesus chose the12 disciples to preach the Gospel first to the Jews and then the Gentiles. But many did not respond to the Gospel of the Kingdom – the message of the bridegroom whom John the Baptist introduced.

John 3:28-30 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

But, the Gospel of the Kingdom was rejected bymany. Some made fun of it and others rejecting the callwent back to farming and selling merchandise without anyheart change taking place in their life. Jesus they crucified and later some of the other Apostles. Apostle Paul was beheaded and Peter crucified. Many other witnesses like James the half brother of Jesus was beheaded and Stephen stoned. When the Father saw what they did to His Son and many of His followers and rejected the marriage invitation, He was angry. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.Matthew 24:1,2 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

The wedding was ready but the religious leaders rejectedChrist so they were not worthy of the wedding. Jesus afterHis resurrection gave the great commission to His followersto preach the Gospel into all the world telling all the goodnews of the Kingdom and the return of the Bridegroom forHis bride and the marriage supper of the Lamb.Mark 16:14,15 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Has God given up on Israel completely since they rejected Christ. No, the nation is temporarily blinded to seeing the truth, and so God turned to the Gentiles for a time call the Church age. The Church is made up of both Jew and Gentile believers. When the fulness of the Gentiles are saved then God will return back to deal with Israel to accept Jesus as both Messiah and King (see ref chart).

We see then in verse 10 the Church preaching the Gospelin all the highways and byways of life. Like the parable of the tares and the wheat, the good fish and bad, manyresponded to the wedding invitation but were not wearingthe wedding garment. The wedding garment is the coveringJesus gives us when we believe the Gospel that He died forour sins and believing in His death and resurrection we arecovered with His righteousness and not our own.
