WHAT IS GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL TRIP (GET)?
Global education is an education perspective which arises
from the fact that contemporary people live and interact in an
increasingly globalised world. This make crucial for education to give the
students the opportunity and competences to reflect and share their
own point of view and role within a global interconnected society, as
well as to understand relationships of social, cultural, economic, and
political issues, so as to derive new ways of thinking and acting.
From statement above, Budhi Warman then created a new non-formal education program called Budhi Warman Global Educational Trip
(GET). It is a trip aimed to open students eyes and minds tothe realities
of globalised world and awakens them to bring about a world they live

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
See, share, understand, is the motto of this program.
It will give Budhi Warman students a chance to see the world
(it cultures, diversity and realities) for themselves. As a group, they share
what they are experiencing with the others, they are personally
experiencing the environment, interacting with it directly, engaged in the
activities at the site, working with the processes to be studied, and
observing first-hand the learning that each new location can provide.
Seeing life and the world first-hand promotes a clearer
understanding of world, it workings and relationship. It reinforces
previous classroom lessons and brings a higher level of realism and
believing.
Often more than the four walls of classrooms, the outdoor
classrooms (Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in KL, Indonesian School in
KL, Singapore Science Park, Singapore Botanical Garden, ASEAN Museum)
are more enjoyable, beautiful, inspiring, stimulating and relaxing (all at
the same time), creating an optimal learning environment. Budhi
Warman students will learn retaining the concepts, examples, principals,
and processes involved and coming away with more in-depth
understanding of what they have seen and experimented.
