You can get away early – no need to go through formalities if you are clearing out elsewhere
• Tuesday June 2nd - rally finishes at Bunyu Wedang Bay

Benoa to Lembongan (or Stay in Benoa) 12 miles – Sunday May 24th
Getting there• Your choice to leave on Sunday or Monday, and
to stop overnight at Lembongan
• In and out of Benoa – can be big swells
• Very strong currents – allow making slow progress across the Lombok Straits; and there is a likelihood of moderate seas
Once you’re there:• after 3 pm you can take one of the dive boat
moorings – before that time it is very congested – can be swelly – hard to get to shore

Benoa to Gili Gede - 45 miles Monday May 25th and Tuesday 26th
Getting there• Very strong currents – allow making slow
progress across the Lombok Straits to Lembongan; and there is a likelihood of moderate seas
• From Lembongan – still strong currents but not so rough – watch out for fish farms on way into Gili Gede
Once you’re there:• Book a marina berth at the new Marina Del Ray
well in advance. Alternately pick up a mooring or anchor
• Beautiful place
• Dinner first night at Marina; second night to be organised

Gili Gede to Senggigi - 20 miles Wednesday May 27th and Thursday 28th
Getting there• Easy trip – watch out for rock to east of Gili Gede
Once you’re there:• Anchor in the bay – a bit swelly but deep and safe
• Plenty of restaurants and bars
• Dinner will be organised for one night and possibly a formal function by Governor Dr Zu of Lombok

Getting there• Just as easy
Once you’re there:• Pick up a mooring or anchor
• A little bit rolly• Beautiful spot with a restaurant and bar, and OK

Getting there• Even easier
Once you’re there:• Anchor between the reefs in sand 5m-15 m or
moorings for a fee – protected anchorage
• Plenty of restaurants and bars
• Dinner will be organised for that night
• Famous for its sunsets with a G&T on the beach

Getting there• A moderate hike across the Lombok Straits –
may be a bit rough
Once you’re there:• Deep water anchorage – approx. 15-20 m on
black volcanic sand and rock close to shore
• Quite rolly• Lots of restaurants and bars on beach
• Meet for sunset drinks on the beach
• Famous dive location
• Free loud music

Getting there• Moderate length sail
Once you’re there:• Fun town – bars and restaurants and resorts
• Anchor on black sand in 5-10 m• Meet for sunset drinks on the beach
• Watch all the local boats head out in the morning for calling the dolphins

An anchorage to overnight to the west of Bali in Java is Banyu Biru 008 38.13S 114 27.5 E. This is a delightful anchorage, you need to be very close to the shore to find shallow water & has many fish traps to be avoided
You can clear customs at either Marina Del Ray in Lombok, or Benoa Harbour if returning to Australia directly after our Cruise
