Are there any Questions on the Assembly?

Next, well discuss Surfactants.*Questions on Assembly instructions?

Next up is Soap/Surfactants*Soap Launchers>Surfactants>PurposeNext, we will discuss the use of Surfactants.

Translation:The purpose of a Soapstick is to reduce the surface tension of water.

Reduction of the surface tension allows the water to break-up into small droplets, like fog.

Smaller droplets can be floated to the surface on the column of flowing gas. *Soap Launchers>Surfactants>Topics

There are four factors to consider when using soap sticks.

(Translation)1.Using a motor valve,(do we need it?)2.The completion profile, 3.When to use more than one stick, 4.The optimum cycle time routine

Well cover these topics now;*Soap Launchers>Surfactants>Motor Valve use

There are three occasions to use a Motor Valve:1st Excessively high flow rate (the stick wont fall against the flow)2ndPoor well conditions (or large tubing) flowing below the critical velocity3rdHorizontal completions (the well is shut-in to push the soap-sticks lower into the tubing)If the well does not fall into these three categories, it is not necessary to employ a motor valve.

    .*Soap Launchers>Surfactants>Well Bore Completion Profile

There are three types of well bore completions. We need to modify the application of soap for each of these types of completion.

    *SoapLauncher>Surfactants>Well Bore Completions

    (Translation)

One stick compared to multiple sticks:

In a Vertical completion use a single stick more often. In a Deviated completion use multiple sticks more often.*Soap Launchers>Surfactants>One or More Sticks

A Vertical Well Bore Completion should receive only one stick at a time.We can determine the frequency from the flow rate.

A Deviated Well Bore Completion should receive multiple Sticks each Cycle. The Cycle Time is typically longer and requires more soap sticks.

    Next we will discuss the Cycle Time in more detail;

    *Soap Launcher>Surfactants>Cycle Time

The Operator should monitor the flow rate of the well to determine the optimum cycle time between stick drops. This graph doesnt show a shut-in period. It must be a vertical completion.A deviated completion requires an extended shut-in period to optimize production.

Text says drop soap stick before the flow rate has fallen below 50%*Soap Launcher>Surfactants>Cycle Time

The Operator should monitor the flow rate of the well to determine the optimum cycle time between stick drops. This graph shows a shut-in period. It may be deviated, or require a motor valve for other reasons. (Deviated, high flow rate, poor well/large tubing)

A deviated completion requires an extended shut-in period to optimize production.

Text says A well can flow longer between soap insertion when a motor valve is in use*Questions on Soap sticks?

Next up is Programming the controller*Soap Launcher>Programming>Cycle Time

How many times in a day do you want to drop a soap stick?*Soap Launcher>Controller Programming>Cycle Time

In this example, a new cycle begins every eight hours.

    *Soap Launcher>Controller Programming>Cycle Time

In this example, a new cycle begins every twelve hours.

    *Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Cycle Time

The cycle time is not related to a 24 hour day.

    *Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Stick Release

The Controller will drop a stick at the Beginning of each cycle.

(Translation); The Launcher requires 10 seconds to drop a soap stick.*Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Flow Time

The stick falls at the beginning of the cycle. After the stick falls, the well will flow for almost 8 hours. When that cycle is completed, a new 8 hour cycle begins.

In this Example, the well is not shut-in at all.*Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Off-Time

The Off Time occurs at the beginning of the cycle time.

    This is the most common program.*Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Off-Time

(Same slide almost) The Off-Time occurs at the beginning of the Cycle-Time.

Go to Load 2 to set the Off-Time.

In this Example, only one stick is being dropped. The Cycle-Time is set for 8 hours. The Off- Time is set for 2 hours. The rest of the time is for Flowing. It is about 6 hours,*Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Release Delay

In the previous Examples, the stick is dropped as the Motor Valve begins closing.

The red area is the Off-Time, when the Motor Valve is closed.

? Is it desirable to wait for a period of time before dropping the Soap Stick? a. Occasionally, the soap stick will not drop if the Motor Valve does not close quickly.b. Some wells make so much water, that water will get into the Launcher when the Ball Valve opens.

Delay-Time shifts the stick release during the Off-Time.Delay-Time does not change the length of the Off-Time.Program the Delay-Time at Load 3.

    *Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Multiple Sticks

In this Example, the Controller is programmed to release two soap sticks.

The Launcher can be programmed to drop 4 soap sticks at each cycle.

    *Soap Launcher>Controller Programming> Horizontal Completions

In a horizontal completion, we prefer to drop the sticks near the beginning of the Off-Time.

Notice that the Cycle Time is quite long.Notice that the Off-Time is quite long compared to the Flow-Time. *Questions on Programming the Controller?

    Next up is Troubleshooting*Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Topics

Troubleshooting include problems with the;Controller Supply GasBall Valve Problems*Video Text

Problems with Soap Sticks released from high pressure .

    1.) Low Pressure

2.) High PressureGas bubbles migrate to inside the soap stick

3.) Low PressureHigh Pressure bubbles inside the soap stick expand and cause the disintegration of the soap stick.

Next, well discuss problems with the Controller.*Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Controller

    TroubleshootingController problems there are three areas of concern;

-water in the controller (from an open door)-Numerical keypad doesnt work, -electronic card dies*Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Controller

    Troubleshooting

Water in the controller, Rain water from an open door-Disconnect the batteries and electronics-Wait for the parts to dry-Re-connect the pieces or replace as necessary

    *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Controller

    Troubleshooting

Keypad doesnt work-Un-plug the battery for 2 minutes to reboot the computer-Restart Controller-Change keypad

    *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Controller

TroubleshootingElectronic card is dead-Un-plug the battery for two minutes to re-boot the Processor-change the electronic card

Next, well discuss the Supply Gas system.

    *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Supply Gas

TroubleshootingThe Supply Gas System includes the Regulator, the Control Valves and the Air Cylinder.

the Problems with the Supply Gas are Water:-Regulator Wet \-Control Valve Wet > Delayed Failure-Air cylinder Wet /

If the ball valve remains open, water will migrate into the regulator.

Run the other video created in January showing gas migration. With narration. *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Supply Gas

Next, well discuss the Ball Valve.

    *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Ball Valve

TroubleshootingThere are two Problems with the ball valve:-stiffness (excessive)-Leaking (excessive) (a little is OK)

Solutions:Stiffness - Replace the seals(demo replacement seals)Leakage Replace ball and seals (demo this technique with valve and pick)

Extreme Cases: - Replace entire Ball Valve - (Linkage adjustment required)

Next, well look at how to adjust the linkage. *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Ball Valve>Linkage

    Troubleshooting

Extreme Cases - Replace entire Ball Valve - (Linkage adjustment required)

This picture shows the Turret Vane directly one the Ball Valve opening.*Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Ball Valve>Linkage

TroubleshootingExtreme Cases - Replace entire Ball Valve

In this picture, the stem of the new Ball Valve was not screwed to the same location as the old Ball Valve. The linkage may not have enough adjustment to correct the Turret Vane.

It is easier to re-build the ball valve than it is to re-place the ball valve.

    *Soap Launcher>Trouble Shooting/Maintenance>Ball Valve>Linkage

    Troubleshooting

This is the correct position for the Turret vane.*Questions?*Many thanks, from pro-seal
