II. ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

The Andhra Pradesh Open University renamed as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open Universitywas established in August, 1982 by an Act of State Legislature. Its principal aim is to provideeducational opportunities to all those who wish to pursue higher studies and acquire Degreesand Diplomas. It is a boon to those who, for one reason or other, have not been able to study ata college or a University although they are keen on improving their educational qualifications.

"Education for All" being the motto, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University brings the benefits ofhigher education to a large number of people, including employees, adults, women and house-wives who are interested in higher learning.

The University makes use of multimedia instructional components such as audio-visualprogrammes (Radio, Television, Audio Cassettes and Video Cassettes), in addition to print ma-terial and contact-cum-counselling classes. The Study Centres will function on all week daysexcept on every Monday and Tuesday following Second Saturday. The counselling classes arearranged at the study centres on Sundays.

a) Under Graduate Programmes

The University offers three Undergrduate (U.G.) Programmes leading to the award ofB.A., B.Com., and B.Sc. Degrees. All the programmes of the University are recognisedby Distance Education Council (DEC), IGNOU, New Delhi. Admission to theseprogrammes is open to all Citizens of India without any restrictions. However, the area ofoperation of the University is confined to Andhra Pradesh only.

b) Eligibility Criteria for Admission into the Under Graduate Programme

Admissions into UG Programmes are made as follows:

i) Eligibility Test Stream: Candidates who have completed 18 years of age by 1stJuly, 2013 and have passed the Eligibility Test conducted by Dr. B.R. AmbedkarOpen University in 2013.

ii) Direct Admission Stream: Candidates who have passed

a) The Intermediate or its equivalent examination; or

b) 10+2 from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) / AP Open SchoolSociety (APOSS)

c) The two year ITI or two year vocational course after S.S.C. and other exami-nations as mentioned in Annexure - I, or

d) The pass outs of Eligibility Test from 2009 to 2012 are eligible for direct admis-sion irrespective of their age.

c) Medium of Instruction

A student can study UG Programme, i.e. B.A., B.Com., & B.Sc. in Telugu & Englishmedium as per his / her choice. However, Computer Applications, Drug Chemistry & DrugTechnology are offered in English medium only. Further the University offers History, PoliticalScience, Public Administration, Botany, Zoology & Chemistry in Urdu medium also. For detailsplease see Annexure - II.

Once medium is chosen by the student in the I year U.G. Programme, it will continue tillthe programme is completed.

d) Duration of the ProgrammeThe minimum duration of the U.G. Programme (B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc.) is three years.

The maximum period allowed for completion of the U.G. Programme is NINE years from theyear of Admission. The maximum duration will be expired with the Spell-II Examinations of thelast Academic Year. (i.e., Ninth year)

III. PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Admission into B.A. and B.Com., Programme is open to all candidates who fulfil theeligibility creteria mentioned above.

a) Foundation CoursesThe first year Programme consists of Four Foundation Courses which are common and

compulsory to all the students admitted to the Undergraduate Programme of B.A., B.Com., andB.Sc. They are:

i) The Foundation Course in English Language

ii) The Foundation Course in Modern Indian Language(Telugu / Urdu / Hindi / Functional English)

iii) The Foundation Course in Science & Technology; and

iv) The Foundation Course in Social Sciences.

The Foundation Courses in English and Modern Indian Language (Telugu, Hindi, Urduand Functional English), help the candidates to develop communicative skills, while the Founda-tion Courses in Science and Technology and Social Sciences help the students to understandfacts about Nature and Society.

b) Choice of Optional Subjects

Students have to choose three subjects as optional subjects for study in II year. Thesame three subjects must be selected as optional subjects for III year also. Depending on thechoice of the subjects and after passing all the courses in all the subjects, they will be awardedB.A., or B.Com., or B.Sc. Degree. (For details of courses offered by Dr. BRAOU seeAnnexure II).

Admission into the B.Sc. Programme

a) Students who have passed the Intermediate or equivalent examination with relevantscience subjects as elective; or

b) Students who have the work experience of one year in the Science and Technologyrelated organization or department are eligible to take admission into B.Sc.Programme.

Choice of Optional Subjects

In the II year, students have to choose as their optionals, any three subjects out of thesubjects listed under four faculties (see Annexure - VI). You have to choose your optionalskeeping in mind the subjects and medium offered at the study centres (see Annexure - III fordetails).

IV. Guidelines to choose optional subjects in U.G. II Year

Please note that you are given optional subjects under four Faculties. You may choose allthe three subjects from any one of the Faculties or at least two subjects from one Faculty andthe third one from any other Faculty. While choosing the subjects the following guidelines / rulesshall be observed scrupulously.

i) For B.A. Degree

If you want to obtain B.A. degree, choose either all the three subjects offered under Faculty ofArts or under Faculty of Social Sciences or choose at least two subjects either under Faculty ofArts or under Faculty of Social Sciences and the third one from any other Faculty. For example,you may choose optional subject code Nos. 03, 04, 05 or 01,02,03 or 02,04,27 etc. or you maychoose 03,05 (or any two) from Faculty of Social Sciences and the third one from any otherFaculty. Similarly, you may choose 06,07,18 or 07,17,18 or 06,07,17 etc, under Faculty of Arts06, 07 or 07, 18 under faculty of Arts and the third optional from any other Faculty. Please notethat choosing optional subjects of Economics (Subject code No. 1) under Faculty of SocialScience together with optional subject code 10 under Faculty of Commerce is invalid.

ii) For B.Com. Degree

If you want to obtain B.Com degree, choose either all the three subjects under Faculty ofCommerce i.e., 08,09,10 or choose at least two i.e., 08,09 (compulsorily) and the other one fromany other Faculty. Please note that choosing optional subjects of code No. 01 and 10 togetheris rejected.

iii) For B.Sc. Degree

If you want to obtain B.Sc degree, choose all the three optionals under Faculty of Science (i.e.,from code nos. 11 to 16 and 19) or choose at least two subjects under Science Faculty and thethird one from any other Faculty.

iv) For B.Sc. Special

While students are free to choose any three optional Subjects, they must also keep inmind their future study plans. Different universities have different entry requirements for pur-suing postgraduate studies in different subjects. Students are advised to meet the head of thestudy centre to seek guidance and get clarifications regarding the choice of subjects. They areadvised to think carefully and make choice to suit their future study plans.

B.Sc. (Special) - Drug Sciences & Drug Technology

The University offers B.Sc. (Special) Drug Sciences Programme with an objective ofproviding employment opportunities in Drug Industry. This programme is specially designedwith a focus on Drug Chemistry and Drug Technology. The first year of the programme is thesame as that of other Bachelors' Programmes.

During the second year, the students have to choose the following three subjects whichwill be continued in the third year also. The medium of instruction is English only. The practicalcounselling classes will be conducted in Pharmacy colleges at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.only.

Computer Applications as One of the Optional Subjects(Code No. 19) Value Addition to Your Degree

The University has entered into a collaborative agreement with NIIT, a professional andreputed computer organisation, to offer Computer Applications as one of the three optional

subjects. The subject will have four courses like other optional subjects. If the students choosethis subject at one of the centres, then they have to attend theory and practical classes at theNIIT centre allotted to them. Attendance is compulsory for this subject. The medium ofinstruction will be English. Even if you choose to study degree in Telugu / Urdu medium,but youhave to study this subject and write the examinations in English only. If you successfully completethe four courses of this subject with more than 50% marks you will receive a Diploma inComputer Applications from NIIT in addition to the degree from this University. If you electthis subject (Computer Applications) you have to compulsorily study all the four courses ofNIIT.

A Degree with Computer Applications will enhance your opportunities in the employmentmarket. If you are already in employment, the study of this subject will give horizontal andvertical mobility.

In Computer Applications optional, there are four courses (4 papers), of which two courseswill be in II year (I & II courses) and other two in III year (III & IV courses). If studentschoose computer applications as one of the electives, they have to pay an additional fee of Rs.3,000 for each course. This means that the students may have to pay Rs. 6,000 for two courses(I & II) in second year and Rs. 6,000 in III year for two courses (III & IV). Further, suchstudents shall pay Rs. 400/- towards admission fee in II year only and service tax, as perGovernment norms in both II & III year. All these payments shall be made to NIIT directly.This fee will be in addition to the normal fee which they have to pay to the University. TheUniversity will reduce Rs. 500 out of Rs. 1,500 for the two subjects chosen by them from Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University.

Fee Payment Particulars

a) If students choose all the three subjects from code numbers 01 to 18, 27 and 31 theyhave to pay Rs. 1,500 as tuition fee and for science subjects at the rate of Rs.800per subject as practical fee.

b) If the students choose any two subjects from subject code numbers 01 to 18, 27 and31 and the third subject as Computer Applications (Code No. 19), they have to pay(i) Rs. 1000/- to BRAOU and Rs. 6,000/- to NIIT in cash or DD (as directed bytheir NIIT Centre).

The System of Study

Studying at home on your own requires careful planning and commitment. Studentssometimes need the support of their family. They have to plan their studies to fit in with theirhome life and working environments.

Each week a student will need about:

* 6 to 8 hours of face to face counselling at the study centre.

* 12 to 16 hours of study of the printed course texts supplied to him.

* 15 minutes listening to the Radio lessons.

* 2 to 3 hours for viewing the Audio-Video Programmes, Tele lessons or Teleconferences or Radio phone-in-programmes.

While keeping in view their other activities, they have to plan their time for studies byadhering to a simple time table prepared every week.

V. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

The University provides Student Support Services to the students through the StudentServices Branch of the University.

a) Study Centres: To provide learning support and information to the students, the Univer-sity has established 218 study centres. These study centres are located in existing educa-tional institutions in different towns of the State. The details of the study centres aregiven in Annexure - V. Each study centre is headed by a senior teacher supported byadministrative staff. If students need any academic guidance or guidance in the choiceof electives, they may seek the advice of the study centre staff. Experienced teacherswill be available on Sundays and holidays to provide academic counselling and clear theirdoubts in the learning materials. The study centre has audio-visual equipment and library.The study centre is the point of contact with the University for the students. Thoughattendance is not compulsory for contact-cum-counselling classes, students are advisedto go to the study centre as often as they can, to interact with the Academic Counsellorsand other learners.

b) Learning Materials in Print: In the first year U.G. Programme, students have tocollect the printed course material for four courses from their study centre. From SecondYear onwards, however, the printed course material will be dispatched to a majority ofstudents by post to their residential address.

c) Background Reading: The course material supplied to students may contain a list ofbooks recommended for reading. You may use the study centre reference library inwhich the recommended books are available.

d) Multimedia Approach: The University since its inception has been adopting MultiMedia Approach in the Teaching Learning Process. In this effort the University hasbeen utilising electronic media such as Radio and Television to reach out to the Studentsspread throughout the State of Andhra Pradesh.

e) Radio Lessons: The University is broadcasting Radio Lessons through All India Radio,Hyderabad on all days from 6.25 p.m. to 6.40 p.m. The programmes are broadcast on'Hyderabad - A' meters with shortwave support.

f) Tele Lessons: As a supplement to the printed course material, the University telecastsTele Lessons through DD-Saptagiri Channel from every Monday to Friday from 5.30a.m. to 6.00 a.m. Similarly, the University is also telecasting Video lessons through ManaT.V. Channel of Government of Andhra Pradesh for all the week days from 11.30 a.m. to12.30 p.m. The same programmes are re-telecast from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

g) Gyan Darshan Channel: The University has also been effectively utilising Gyan DarshanChannel of IGNOU to Telecast Video Lessons on all the week days. These programmescan be viewed by the students right in their houses from 10.30 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. as theseprogrammes are available through DD-DTH Platform.

h) Tele Conference: In order to provide interactive education, the University has takenthe initiative to organise LIVE Teleconference programme on every Sunday from 2.00p.m. to 3.00 p.m. The programme is telecast through Doordarshan, Saptagiri Channel.As Doordarshan, Saptagiri is a cable Channel, the students can view the TeleconferenceProgramme from their houses and could interact with the subject experts 'online' throughtelephones. The schedules of Radio /T.V. programmes are sent to the individual learnersthrough post. In addition, the schedules will also be available in university website and atthe Study Centres.

i) Contact-cum-Counselling Classes: The University allots Academic Counsellors, toprovide academic support to students. The Academic Counsellors are selected based ontheir academic ability and also on their special interest in teaching students of differentage groups, social and linguistic backgrounds.

The contact-cum-counselling classes are conducted at the study centre only if acertain minimum number of learners have registered for a subject in a medium.If the minimum number is not available in the allotted study centre the students can attendthese classes at other centres where counselling is available. The details of minimumnumber of learners required for organising these classes varies from subject to subject.The details are available at the study centre. The details of subjects offered at variousstudy centres are given in Annexure - III.

The Contact-cum-Counselling facility is available only in certain study centreswhere permission is given to conduct classes for the subjects are as per Annex-ure - III. Hence, counselling classes are not available at all the study centres uniformlyalthough there are students who have registered optional subjects. Some centres are notpermitted to conduct the classes for certain optional subjects.

j) Laboratory Facilities: If students choose to study science subjects (other than Math-ematics) for B.Sc. Degree Programme they will have practical sessions arranged forthem at specified Zonal Study Centres. For attending the practical sessions they shouldpay the laboratory fee as specified by the University along with their II & III year tuitionfee. The timetable for these classes will be intimated to them through a letter from theUniversity. As per the existing rules in force, students have to attend 70% (i.e. on anaverage 50 hrs.) of practical classes in each science subject of the Practical sessionsopted by them during II & III years of their study. 100% attendence is compulsory forthe Psychology Practical Sessions.

k) Library Facilities: In addition to the printed material supplied to them by the University,students can make use of text books and reference books available to them at the StudyCentre Reference Library.

l) OPVARSITY News: The University also brings out a quarterly house journal called"Opvarsity News" carrying general news features about the university. Students maycollect copies of these from their study centre.

m) Scheme of Annual Examinations: At the end of the First year, students have to takeexaminations in four papers i.e., one paper in each of the four Foundation Courses. Atthe end of Second and Third Years they have to take examinations in three optionalsubjects for each of which there will be two papers. B.Sc. students as well as thosestudents who have opted for Psychology will also have to take practical examinations atthe end of the Second year and Third year.

n) Exemption to the Hearning Impaired, Orthopaedically Handicapped & VisuallyChallenged Students:

a) Hearing and Speech Impaired candidates are exempted from appearing for thepaper in the Foundation Course in Modern Indian Language prescribed for the Iyear of the U.G. Programme.

b) Further as per the G.O. M.S. No. 183, Higher Education (EC. 2) Department dated17-09-2010:i) Exemption from payment of examination fee (3 consecutive years)ii) Reductoin of pass marks in each subject by 10%.

In any year, students can take examinations in all the courses or in any number of coursesin which they have received instruction from the University depending upon their conve-nience. Irrespective of the examination result, they can pursue their studies continuouslyfor three years. However, they get the degree only after securing pass marks in all thepapers including the practical examination papers. The pass marks are 35% in eachpaper.

The total tuition fee payable in each year shall be paid at the beginning of therelevant Academic Year (June / July) for the U.G. Programme. Students are advised topay the fee for the II year / III year without waiting for the declaration of the results ofI / II year.

IX. GENERAL INFORMATION

A. Change / Transfer of Study Centre

a) For effecting any transfer of student from one study centre to another study centre,student shall submit his application in the prescribed Form to the study centre wherehe / she is admitted, with the documentary evidence / proof for requesting suchtransfer.

b) The Head of the Study Centre shall forward the Application Form with a specificrecommendation duly satisfying himself of the reason(s) after careful verification ofdocumentary evidence / proof submitted for transfer.

c) The reasons such as change of place on account of marriage, employee on transfer,non availability of certain groups / subjects (eg. Science subjects) etc. may beconsidered. However, no transfer of study centre shall be recommended withoutany valid reasons and without any documentary evidence. The requests of seniorcitizens may be considered favourably.

d) The right of transfering study centre of any student rests with the University and notransfer will be done automatically based on the representation and therecommendation of the Head of the Study Centre.

e) The student may be informed that any false representation shall attract disciplinaryaction including cancellation of admission.

f) No transfer of study centre will be entertained within the twin cities of Hyderabad/Secunderabad.

g) The transfer of study centres will be entertained only during the notifieddates and no transfer shall be considered after the issue of notification ofexaminations (Spell I or II) and until completion of the entire schedule ofexaminations so notified.

h) Keeping in view the need and due to certain exigencies, the University will howeverhold the right to transfer of a student from one study centre to another study centreafter due approval from the authorities concerned.

i) Usually the change of study centre is done only once during the minimum durationof any programme and any transfer more than once will be accorded with theapproval of the Vice-Chancellor. The change/transfer of study centre is permittedafter completion of the minimum duration of programme only after approval of theVice-Chancellor.

j) Students who seek re-admission or re-enrollment to any programme are not eligiblefor transfer of study centre after the re-admission is granted.

k) The University reserves the right to grant or reject the request for change of studycentre and the decision of the University shall be final in all respects.

l) The University reserves the right to withdraw / modify / amend these rules withoutany prior notice and they shall be binding on the student.

B. Change of Optional Subjects / Medium

No change of Optional Subject / Medium shall ordinarily be permitted in III year. Ifpermitted the students shall have to write the II year examinations of the subject opted for in IIIyear. That is, the same three subjects shall be selected for study in II year and III year.

a) The change of subjects / medium is permitted only once during the duration of theprogramme. The change in subject(s) / medium is not applicable where no option /provision exists in the study centre for that particular subject / medium.

b) Students who are eligible for change of subjects eg: Arts / Social Sciences /Commerce / Science, shall be permitted on becoming eligible as per the rules of theUniversity in force.

c) The change in Subjects / Medium may be permitted during the period notifiedby the University every year. However, no change in the subjects / mediumshall be entertained once the examination notification is issued and untilcompletion of the entire schedule of examination.

d) The change in Subject / Medium is subject to availability of contact-cum-counsellingprovision at the study centre and / or other infrastructural facilities.

e) In the context of change in Subject / Medium of degree programme / Certificateprogramme / Diploma programme will be awarded only following the provisions /rules in vogue as applicable.

f) The University shall have the right to transfer the student(s) to any other studycentre close by or otherwise for the purpose of required instructional needs /infrastructural facilities relating to subject / medium.

g) Generally, the change of subject(s) / medium is done only once during the minimumduration of the programme. No such change is considered / granted after comple-tion of duration of programme.

h) If any false claim for such change(s) is noticed at any time, the University has theright to initiate disciplinary action against the students as per rules including cancel-lation of admission.

i) The study centre while forwarding the request shall verify the payment of fee andmention it in the letter to be forwarded for entry in the records at the Universityheadquarters. The student may however be permitted to pay the difference intuition fee, if any, (eg. in the case of non-science students shifting to scienceprogramme) at the study centre where they report on transfer after getting thechange in Subject / Medium effected.

j) The University reserves the right either to grant or reject the request of the studentand the decision of the University shall be final under all such circumstances.

k) The University reserves the right to withdraw the permission or modify or amendthe rules at any time without any notice and the same shall be binding on thestudents.

SOME IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

a) Study Material

i) The course material will be distributed to the students of First year through theirstudy centres from July, 2013.

ii) Complaints about non-receipt of Course material will be entertained in the sameAcademic Year. Such complaints will not be entertained in the subsequent Aca-demic Year(s).

b) Counselling Sessions

The Contact-cum-Counselling classes will commence from September 2013. For detailsstudents may contact the Study Centre.

c) Procedure for Change of Address

If the student wants a change of postal address, the change will be effected within onemonth after receipt of the letter from them. Communications may continue to be sent to themto old address till the change of postal address is effected in the records. d) Promotion to the II Year

As there is no detention system in the University, all the students will be promoted to theII year. Even if they have not taken the 1st year examinations for some reason or other, theywill still be promoted to II year.

e) Change of MIL / Medium

In the first year, if the student desires to change his / her Modern Indian Language (MIL)or Medium from one to another, he / she has to pay Rs. 100 within two months from the date of

1st Contact-cum-Counselling class and return the course material supplied to him / her withoutspoiling and writing on the books. After two months, the student has to pay Rs. 350 for MIL andRs. 500 for change of medium.

f) Change of Optional Subject

i) For change of optional subject in 2nd year, within two months after the commence-ment of 1st Contact-cum-Counselling class, the student has to pay Rs. 100 persubject by returning the course material already received. After two months, he /she has to pay Rs. 500 per each subject.

ii) If the student desires to change the optional subject in 3rd year, after a stipulatedtime, he / she has to pay Rs. 1000 per each subject (including 2nd year).

iii) The student, before changing the Optional Subject must be careful and observe theguidelines for awarding Degree. He / she has to pass all the four papers of thechanged subjects in II & III years.

g) Issue of Duplicate Identity Card

The fee for issuing Duplicate Identity Card for U.G. Programme is Rs. 50/-.

X. Guidelines for the payment of Tuition Fee through online for the first yearUnder Graduate Programme (ET - 2013)

Note: This is to note that the students who appeared for Entrance Test 2013, will get major partof information from the university portal once they enter their hall ticket number. They need tofill only the remaining information like Medium of Study, Study Centre opted, Modern IndianLanguage etc.

Step - I

Candidate shall visit the portal of BRAOU (www.braouonline.in) and click on theapplication and access the Form. The candidate can fill in all the fields in the Application onlineand upload it with the photo and signature. Then he should take a print out of the filled &uploaded Application Form. While taking out the print out of the filled in and uploaded Form, anapplication number is generated and the print out comes out with that number. Student shouldtake two copies of print outs - one to submit at study centre and another to retain with him.

Step - II

The candidate, alongwith the print out and all required certificates - Eligibility Test 2013,Date Birth / SSC, Caste Certificate, Affidavit, School TC etc., should go to the study centrewhere he / she wants to pursue his / her studies. Student should submit a copy of ApplicationForm alongwith copies of Certificates at study centre. After verifying the Application Form andcertificates, if the candidate is found eligible, the Coordiantor / Asst. Director / Deputy Directorof the Study Centre, sends SMS to the University portal or sends message through internet,confirming his admission. On receipt of the SMS from the Coordinator, the university portalsends confirmation message with payment details to the candidate and to the Coordinator /Asst. Director / Deputy Director. Now, the candidate is allowed to pay the fee either at APOnline Centre or through debit / credit card or through net banking.

Step - III

On payment of requisite fee by the candidate on the application number either in APOnline or through debit / credit card or through net banking (those who have account withSBH), a receipt will be generated with the details of admission number, amount, date etc. Thestudent will also receive SMS with admission number, confirming the receipt of fee.

Step - IV

ID cards will be generated at the University Head Quarters and sent to study centre.The cards will be issued to the students at the study centre only. The course material will alsobe distributed at the study centres.

Registration and Payment of Tuition Fee through online for the first year UnderGraduate Programme (ET - 2013)

1. For Admission Application

You are advised to go to any internet centre. Then visit University portal (i.e.,www.braouonline.in) and click on First Year U.G. Registration - Eligibility Test - 2013 and enteryour E.T. Hall Ticket No. (Eligibility Test). Your E.T. - 3013 application will appear on thescreen. You should not change your name, father's name, date of birth and social status. How-ever, you are free to change your Study Centre, Medium, MIL, address and mobile number, ifneed be. Fill up all the fields in the application online and take a print out of the same in twocopies. The printout will be generated with an unique application number.

2. Where to get the Application Verified

After taking the print outs, go to the study centre where you wish to study. Get theOriginal Certificates [(i.e., E.T. Passed memo / letter, date of birth certificates (S.S.C. or SchoolT.C. or Affidavit), Caste Certificate] verified at the Study Centre. The original certificates willbe returned to you after verification. You are also advised to take one set of certificates attestedby Gazetted Officer to submit at the Study Centre along with the application. After verification

of certificates and submission of Application Form at the Study Centre, you will receive SMS(on your mobile phone) to pay the tuition fee.

3. Payment of Fee

The fee for the First Year U.G. Programme is Rs. 1,300. You should pay the fee throughA.P. online centre or through debit card / credit card or through Net Banking (those who haveaccount with SBH). If you pay fee through A.P. online or debit card / credit card or through NetBanking, you will get a receipt with details of your admission number, amount paid and yourname.

2. After completing personal details, start entering the details under the Address forCorrespondence by entering House No., Street / Colony, Village / Mandal / Town / City,District, State and PIN Code, Mobile No. (Compulsory) and e-mail ID (if available). Ifyou don't have mobile number of your own, at least provide mobile number of your parentsor relatives or friends.

3. Select your medium of study, out of three media i.e., English, Telugu and Urdu.

4. Under Study Centre opted, you come across two fields i.e., District and Study Centrelocation.

l First click on the District, you get a list of 23 districts. Then select the district inwhich you intend to study.

l Then click on the next field i.e., Study Centre. You will find a list of Study Centersexisting in the district. Select one of the study centers where you want to study.

5. Now move on to Sl. No. 5 Modern Indian Language and select one of the languages i.e.,Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and Functional English.

6. Select your Educational Qualification among the list of qualifications appearing under thishead.

7. Choose your religion to which you belong out of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and others.

8. Select the Social Status to which you belong from the list provided i.e., SC, ST, BC-A,BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E and OC.

9. Select the employment status among the categories viz., Employed, Self Employed andUn-employed.

10. Select the option to which you are associated with under the category of Occupation viz.,House wife, Agricultural Labourer, Labourer, Skilled Worker, Teacher, Businessman,Ministerial Service, Nurses, Politician, Defence and others.

11. Select either 'YES' or 'NO' under Differently Abled head. If you click 'YES' then youwill find category of Physically Challenged, Visually Challenged and Hearing Impaired.Select appropriate category to which you belonged to.

12. Under this head, select the area in which you are residing i.e., Urban, Rural and Tribal.

13. In respect of photo and signature, put your passport size colour photograph alongwithyour signature on a white paper below the photo and scan it. Both of them shall beuploaded to the Online Application.

14. At this stage you need to ensure that all the entries made in the above application are trueto the best of your knowledge. Only after ensuring yourself that all the entries made arecorrect, then only, click on 'Submit' to take print out of the Application Form in two sets.The print out of this Application Form comes out with an application number; put yoursignature in the box provided on the left hand side, below the declaration.

15. Now, go to the study centre along with necessary certificates in original (i.e., Date ofBirth, Caste, Qualification etc.) and a set of attested copies thereof. You have to submitApplication Form alongwith one set of attested copies of certificates at study centre.After the verification of certificates by the study centre staff, the candidate is directed tomake the Fee Payment. The candidate will also receive an SMS from University.
