Take Control to Get Results

NV EnergyNV Energy Clark Station consists of ten gas- and oil-fired units with a total generating capacity of 740 megawatts.

In 1991, NV Energy selected Emerson’s WDPF™ expert technology to replace the early GE Mark controls on Unit 4’s GE Frame 7 gas turbine and the G-50 controls on the Sunrise Westnghouse 501. In 1992 and 1993, NV Energy again chose WDPF technology to control and monitor the two combined cycle units at Clark, each consisting of two Westinghouse 501 combustion turbines and a Mitsubishi steam turbine. In 2003, NV Energy once again turned to Emerson – this time to migrate the Clark Unit 4, 5, 6, 10 and Sunrise 2 WDPF systems to Ovation™ expert controls. Emerson’s migration program provided NV Energy with an economical solution incorporating the latest in turbine controls.
