Proverbs 2 6 For the LORD giveth Wisdom: out of

His Mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

2 Timothy 3 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration

of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,

for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly

furnished unto all good works.

Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Timothy 2 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a

good soldier of Jesus Christ.

A good soldier doesn’t whine

when the battle is hard.

A good soldier doesn’t desert the battlefield.

A good soldier doesn’t get involved in other things

so that he isn’t available to go to battle.

7 He (The Lord) layeth up Sound Wisdom for the

righteous: He is a buckler (protector) to them that

walk uprightly. 8 He keepeth the paths of judgment,

and preserveth the way of His saints.

Short term thinking Life time thinking

Walking uprightly according to the Word of God

is not something we try for a time.

It’s a way of life for the rest of our lives.

Impatient people won’t live righteously.

Hebrews 10 36 For ye have need of patience, that,

after ye have done the Will of God, ye might receive

the promise.

It takes patience to keep on keeping on

when the going is tough.

It takes patience to wait on God.

I would rather die in faith never having

seen the fulfillment of expectations,

Than to live a life that is up and down, in and

out, wishy-washy, and unreliable.

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and

judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 10 When Wisdom entereth into thine heart, and

Knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion

shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man,

from the man that speaketh froward (perverse or

fraudulent) things; 13 Who leave the paths of

uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the

frowardness of the wicked; 15 Whose ways are

crooked, and they froward in their paths:

Wisdom and understanding will lead us to

avoid the way of the evil men and women.

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even

from the stranger which flattereth with her words; 17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and

forgetteth the Covenant of her God. 18 For her

house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the

dead. 19 None that go unto her return again, neither

take they hold of the paths of life.

Both wicked men and women will

lead you into trouble.

Wisdom will deliver you from them.

20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men,

and keep the paths of the righteous. 21 For the

upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect

(sincere, with integrity; complete) shall remain in

it. 22 But the wicked (morally wrong) shall be cut

off from the earth, and the transgressors (those who

deal deceitfully, treacherously, or unfaithfully) shall

be rooted out of it.

If we are truly wise, we shall be careful to avoid all

evil company and evil practices. When wisdom has

dominion over us, then it not only fills the head,

but enters into the heart, and will preserve, both

against corruptions within and temptations without.Matthew Henry Concise Bible Commentary.

Wisdom says that we must choose

our friends carefully.

Some will build you up, but many will

drag you down.
