This will be another month of blessings for our church as we dwell on the theme of “Provision in Involvement” in our Sunday School lessons. This will prepare us well for our upcoming Missions Conference in October. I believe that supporting and sending missionaries are very close to the heart of God. This expands the opportunity to spread the Gospel, plant churches and reach more souls for His glory. Last Sunday, I, together with Matthew, Dr. Gil and Ma’am Edna Adena were privileged to be in Singapore to minister to our out - reach’s 2nd Anniversary. The souls saved and brethren strength- ened there are product of a church that believes in Missions. It is our church’s responsibility to provide our nation and the world with the Gospel. May we be able to reach more as we resolve to involve in any way God desires us to do. Finally, in the midst of the rainy days that we are experienc- ing, let us pray for our brethren’s safety and provision while we are resolved ourselves to be faithful in church attendance. Last Sunday, I, together with Matthew, Dr. Gil and Ma’am Edna Adena were privileged to be in Singapore to minister to our out-reach’s 2nd Anniversary. The souls saved and brethren strength-ened there are product of a church that believes in Missions. It is our church’s responsibility to provide our nation and the world with the Gospel. May we be able to reach more as we resolve to involve in any way God desires us to do.

SINGAPORE OUTREACH ANNIVERSARYA Great Success By God's Spirit
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6We thank God for the success He has given us in our 2nd Anniversary celebration last July 29. He
gave us a total of 79 in attendance with 29 first time visitors, among whom were two Singaporeans. Our guest speaker, Dr. Gil Laurena, gave a very clear presentation of the gospel and the people really gave their full attention. In fact, when Dr. Ed Laurena gave the invitation, the people rose from their seats without hesitation. It was a blessing to see how the Holy Spirit moved in our midst that day.
In the afternoon, Dr. Ed challenged the members to continue in being faithful, getting involved the ministry and in being a blessing to the outreach here in Singapore.
The Anniversary celebration was then followed by an outdoor retreat in a rented resort. Though the setting was calm and relaxing, It still did not stop Dr. Ed and Dr. Gil from giving us a fiery exhortation. Ma’am Edna Adena also gave a challenge to our ladies and future Sunday School teachers.
The whole anniversary was a great success! Indeed, God has been faithful with us during our first 2 years as an outreach, and we are excited for what He has in store for us in our third year.
We thank God for the victory! All the fasting and the prayer vigil of the members paid off! It was all by His Spirit! To God be the glory!
The Giving of Robert ArthingtonRobert Arthington lived in a single room, cooked his own meals,
and shared his friendship with students who were in need. Yet he gave tremendous amounts of money during his lifetime to Christian missions. When he died, his estate was worth about five million dollars which he willed to missions. After his death a letter he had received from a missionary was found in his belongings. It said, “Were I in England again, I would glad ly live in one room, make the floor my bed, a box my chair, another my table, rather than the heathen should perish for the lack of knowledge of Jesus Christ.” Robert Arthington was determined to make that kind of self-denial the pattern for his life.
