Thanks and Thoughts
From a Mother in Indiana: I wasn't familiar with Prayer Shawls for Fallen Soldiers and we received a letter from your organization today. I think it 's a wonderful thing that you do for soldier's families'. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
From a Mother in California: Thank you so much, this has been a very difficult time in my life and I appreciate your sympathy :-)
From a Mother in Florida: Thank you so much!
From a Mother in Indiana: Thank you for your ministry.
From a Hospice worker: Hi. I work in hospice care and one of my patients was just given a prayer shawl. When I googled where to donate, your website came up. I love to knit and I would like to donate. Could you let me know where to send them or drop them off locally? (Signed up right quick to receive our newsletter and sent a patriotic shawl to Dover)
From a North Carolina family: I just want to say thanks to all of you ladies that make the Prayer Shawls for Fallen Soldiers. We received the shawls and the colors were perfect. Each color that was sent was one of the favorite colors of everybody that received one. Everyone wants you all to know that you all are doing a wonderful job and May God richly bless each and everyone of you for your thoughtfulness.
,Robin with Glendale Pastor Sandra Griggs, wearing her prayer shawl
Eat-Sleep-Knit-Worship Robin enjoyed a girlfriends trip to Nashville, Tennessee. Sightseeing and great food with plenty of time to knit, crochet and chat made for a great weekend. Worship at Glendale United Methodist Church was a special time to reconnect. During worship, Pastor Sandra shared how much her “well used” prayer shawl had comforted her in loss and inspired her leadership for the prayer shawl ministry at Glendale. Robin attended a Prayer Shawl Conference there with Shawl Ministry founders Janet Severi Bristow and Victoria A. Cole-Galo a few years ago. That’s where she first learned about Cozette Haggerty and Prayer Shawls for Fallen Soldiers.
