RNNP -definition of Dropped Object
• An object falling more than 0 meter within the facility’s safety zone, either on deck or to the sea with a potential of developing into an accident- This means that in case an object slides or roles or where it is only a
potential but does not drop it is not included in the reported incidents

Conclusions 2009 versus 2010:
• Statistics from the RNNP shows little improvement with regard to dropped objects – some improvement in the number of incidents for 2010, but not for drilling related working processes
• More dropped objects related to category “other working processes” – still the largest category, but decrease for 2010
• Heavier objects (Higher Energy) falling down in 2009 – The number of dropped object has been more or less stable for the last years except for 2009 (which was higher than normal)
• No improvements with regard to getting personnel away from the impact area, still a challenge – still a challenge, but slowly improving
• Dropped Objects is still a major challenge, especially for Crane operations (Higher Energy) – still a challenge with high potential for personnel injuries
• Important to keep up the focus on Dropped Objects! – absolutely still important!!• Need to analyze and increase focus on potential for Dropped Objects in
category “other working processes (and keep up focus for drilling, cranes and processes) – have seen a decrease for “other working processes” for 2010, but at the sacrifice of other processes?
• So far in 2011 the trend is not improving
