Public Comment OrdͲWest Bank Development Area The Ord West Bank Development as provided in the Ord Final Agreement will provide approximately 1,000ha of addiƟonal prime irrigated farmland into the Ord IrrigaƟon Area Concept Plans showing three development opƟons have been released for public comment. The project plan also seeks to clear an addiƟonal 300ha of land subject to support for that from the MG people through NaƟve Title consideraƟons. These plans are a result of consultaƟon and stakeholder workshops with the Ord Community Reference Group, MG CorporaƟon, Local State Government Agencies, and the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley. Copies of the concept plans are available at www.drd.wa.gov.au or at the Department of Regional Development, Cnr Messmate Way and Bandicoot Drive Kununurra. Your comments should be in wriƟng and received prior to the closing date of 30 August 2013. A Public Forum will be held on Thursday 1 August 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Hoochery DisƟllery, 300 Weber Plain Road. The Forum will provide the opportunity for people to learn more about the project and an opportunity to provide comment on the project and/or concept plans.
