The Internet gives every seller an opportunity toadvertise their wares no matter their size or location.It also gives the stocking seller the opportunity to havedirect access to the buyer with out going through profit

taking middle men.Brokers, the grey market, have used the informationthey collect as their bargaining tools and their mode forgaining profit.The biggest benefit would be that you would have amuch larger audience to sell your products or servicesto where if you just had a brick & mortar business youwould only be selling to the local community.

Proprietary technologies are confidentialconcepts, formulas , software codes , technical

information , specific process and tools thatprovide competitive advantage to a firm and isusually protected under the law againstunauthorized disclosure, misuse or stealing.

if a business develops a specific formula for acleaning agent that uses ingredients not used bysimilar products, there is a good chance that newcleaner would allow the business to captureadditional market share, based on the uniquenessof the formula. Since the formula uses ingredientsthat are unique in the industry, it would bepossible to patent the formula and thus holdproprietary right to the use of that formula.
