DEVELOPMENT I NODES AND NEIGHBORHOODSWASHINGTON AVENUE CORRIDOR LIVABLE CENTERS STUDY

The Washington Avenue Corridor serves as the boundary between a number of highly distinctive neighborhoods. We propose to concentrate on the nodes where major north-south streets cross Washington. In doing so, we will create attractive neighborhood centers that accentuate the distinctiveness of the neighborhoods and increase the visibility and brand awareness of each neighborhood throughout the city, while also serving as focal points for development without necessitating residential displacement.
