02. The following will be Bank holidays!

i) 1stJanuary 2015 (Thursday)

ii) 1stJuly 2015 (Wednesday)

iii) 19th June 2015 (Thursday) corresponding to 1st Ramazan 1436 A.H (subject toappearance of moon).

03. Governments servants desiring to avail themselves of Optional Holidays shall take priorpermission of the Head of Office concerned and no Government Servant shall be grantedmore than one optional holiday in case of Muslims three optional holidays in the case of non-Muslims, in a calendar year.

04. The grant of this concession should not result in and any dislocation of work. In the caseof Muslim optional holidays, the number of persons permitted to avail optional holidaysshould be regulated in a manner so as to leave adequate staff for proper continuance of thework.

05· The optional holidays are denominational and may be allowed at the discretion of theHead of Office, provided the state of work permits.

06. A Government Servant should not ordinarily be refused an Optional Holiday that is ofreligious significance to him and the refusal is likely to decrease the number of such holidaysto which he is entitled. "
