In past four and a half months, our team of experts and trainers, in cooperation with different partners, has delivered six seminars and various round tables to the representatives of different Business Support Organisations (BSOs) from Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. The overall objective of the trainings and workshops is to assist BSOs in being more efficient in their mission of lobbying and advocating the Small and Medium sized Enterprises' right in front of the Public Sector. For the time being, the Project has held seminars on Communication and Membership, that helped the participant BSOs to learn how to promote themselves via social media and how to attract new members and keep the existing ones. The upcoming topics will be on Analytics, Negotiation and Positioning, that will complement the above stated ones and enhance the knowledge and expertise of the attendees. Twinning: a Tested Experience in a Broader European Context The Twinning programme brings together administrations of a Beneficiary Country (BC) with a Member State (MS) in order to develop their institutional capacity. Institution building means developing the structures and systems, human resources and management skills needed to become a EU Member State. Twinning projects are set up as instruments for targeted administrative co-operation. They must achieve mandatory results through the transfer of hands-on public sector experience and expertise. The final and sole ownership of this mandatory result lies with the BC. As a rule, the BC chooses its partner MS to implement a given Twinning project. To underpin the credibility of their commitment, the Twinning partners draft a detailed Twinning work plan that can be adapted in the course of its implementation. It must fix clear benchmarks to allow for close monitoring of the progress towards the final result.Twinning not only provides technical and administrative assistance to the BC, but also helps to build long-term relationships between the old, new and future MS and brings the BC into wider contact with the diversity of administrative practices inside the EU.Unlike other instruments, Twinning can offer assistance in those areas that are primarily the exclusive territory of Government, such as border management. For example, there are few, if any, private sector advisers who can give BC the advice and assistance they require in such a sensitive area. Since 2014, the Union has become a member of “Union of Young Employers of Europe”. The same year, due to our efforts “Union of Young Employers of Artsakh” was founded. The aim of our activities is supporting young businessmen as we think that today we have such young people, who after being provided financial and informational assistance, will subsequently implement their business plans and ideas with the view to being involved in the process of strengthening and developing our country. We attach importance to creating links between the government and the youth. We always follow the legislative changes, the government decrees and, if necessary, react promptly. It’s very important to cooperate with our youth and international organizations and the young businessmen of other countries; due to it we exchange experiences and gain new knowledge, which helps us to modernize our economy by using new effective instruments for development. Since 2014 our Union has been involved in the process of the developing the Armenian–Mexican relations and together with the Ambassador of the United State to Mexico we are going to strengthen the relations between our countries using it as a new opportunity of the export and import promotion. To find out more about AYWA, their partners and activities, please, visit URL: uyba.amContact: Mushegh Avetisyan - [email protected]
