Public Relations Services
Public relations revolves around the idea of increasing reputation by
telling a story that gets people talking. Public relations professionals
work as a team to customize each PR campaign and tailor each
plan to the needs of the product.
PR professionals spend a ton of time cultivating relationships with
editors and contacts in various media outlets and work to leverage
those relationships to gain organic traction in newspapers and
magazines, on TV/radio, in blogs and more.
A great PR campaign starts with a creative story that is creative
enough to get people talking. Once those people start talking, pr
success is knocking at the door.
Mobile App PR Statistics

Strategies ComboApp uses
1. Set Goals - Both the pr team and the app’s development team need to agree upon reasonable goals in order to
progress in a smooth and flowing manner and to be able to see advancement.
2. Create Media Collateral - Work as a pr team to create the most engaging content for the app. Create tailored
messaging, a press release, media kit and various pitching materials and keep them in an organized folder.
3. Build a Media List - This is the bread and butter to any pr campaign. It is important to only reach out to contacts
that would potentially write about the specific topic or who have written about a similar app/topic in the past. Create
a tailored list of all of these contacts while incorporating contacts who you have a relationship with.
4. Execute Media Outreach - Distribute a well-written press release and use your tailored pitches to reach out to each
individual contact on your media list and follow up if necessary. Grab the editor/reporter’s attention from the start
and give him or her as much information about the app as possible. It is important to have icons, screenshots and
any other specs to be able to send if requested.
Strategies ComboApp uses
5. Be Social - Social media is key when it comes to spreading the word about an app. Be sure to share the news of the app launch on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
6. Track Coverage - Create a tracker in which you can track the distribution of the press release and secured app coverage in national media outlets.
7. WATCH YOUR APP GO VIRAL :)
