Thank you! Parent support was once again outstanding. We hope you enjoyed the performances as much as we did. Seven talented coders from Sutherland North Public School competed at the ANSTO Top Coder Competition held at the University of Technology, Sydney on Saturday 17th August 2019. Our Year 5 team and Year 6 teams scored the highest points in the state to gain both the Year 5 and Year 6 ANSTO Top Coder Competition first place trophies. The winning Year 5 team was Camila A and Ryan B and the champion Year 6 team was Jessica B and Thomas G. Congratulations to Nadia B, Emily H & Prabuddhi P who also scored well in the coding challenges on the day. The teams were coached by Miss Morgan and Mr Entwistle. Our students were best in the state for programming EV3 robots and creating computer games using the Scratch programming language.
K-2 sport runs each Friday from 9am-10am. For this program to run successfully, we require parent helpers. We have greatly appreciated the help many parents have given us so far. If you can help again or if you would like to start this term, that would be great. All you need is a working with children check and a SMILE! Just turn up on Friday at 9am.
