He passed away February 16, 2020, at the age of 55. Lance graduated from Greeley County High School in the class of 1982. He went on to become a butler and lived in New York City for 25 years. Lance loved the big city life, every dog he ever met, and Elvis Presley songs. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol, and brother Jeffrey. He is survived by his father, Lawrence, and sisters JoNell, Janet, and Shelli. In lieu of flowers or food, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 11267 Strange Line Rd., Lenexa, KS, 66215, in his memory. He received exceptional care. Private family service has taken place. We had another awesome month here at LTC!! We had a Valentine party with some fancy lighted balloons made by Josh and Amanda Platte, where once again our Tribune community stepped up and adopted our residents! The smiles on the resicents’ faces were all lit up when they saw them. The local VFW came up to serve awesome snacks and beautiful and tasty cookies made by Joan’s daughter, Shawna Glazier. The group brought valentine cards and candy just to prove we are never to old to enjoy the cards and most importantly, CANDY! Then Johnny Leon and his two sidekicks, Kenna and Winston, came up and sang some love songs to us all. Our February birthdays included Joyce Nemechek, Verlie Bennett and Becky Aeschliman, where we had another awesome cake made by my daughter-in-law, Shayla Sharkey! We had some activities to go out and have a bus ride but Mother Nature decided to be cold outside. So we are ready for nicer weather to get here so we can get outside and have some fun trying to see what trouble we can find. I want to say a big thank you for the volunteers that come and help me doing things and also to all the LTC staff for helping me make sure our loved ones are where they need to be when we are doing activities! Also, I would like to remind everyone that we still need volunteers for hair care and if you have time to come read or just visit with our residents, that would be awesome!! If anyone has any puzzles lying around that you don’t need, we would love to take them off your hands! Thanks for letting us take care of your loved ones! — Brenda Leon
