Life EducationHealthy Harold will be visiting us in the Life Education

Mobile Classroom this term on Tuesday 22 September

(Week 10). Life Education provides a unique learning

experience for children instilling in them the skills needed

to make informed decisions about their health and

wellbeing.

This is a very valuable program and an important part of

our Personal Development and Health studies each year.

Our P&C has happily offered to again

subsidise the cost of the program

which is $10. The cost will therefore

be $5 per child. Hopefully this has

made it more affordable for all

students to attend. Please complete

the attached permission note and return it with the $5

payment by Friday 18 September. Students may purchase

Harold Merchandise if they choose by ordering directly

from the website:

https://www.lifeeducation.org.au/shop/

School PhotosMonday 21 September (Week 10) is the scheduled day

for our 2020 school photos.

Photos envelopes were sent home earlier this year and

will need to be returned to the office by Wednesday 16

September. If you require a new

envelope please let the office know

before Wednesday 16 September.

School Plan 2020-2022As part of developing our brand new Strategic

Improvement Plan, which will commence next year,

we would love to have some feedback from our school

community about your ideas and opinions. We have

decided to enable this in two ways.

1. A Tell Them from Me Parent Survey, which is supported

by the Department of Education, and can be accessed

through the following link:

http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/bps1361

This special link is for Broadwater Public School families

ONLY. This survey will take about 20 minutes to complete

(it is quite detailed with a few open-ended questions

at its conclusion that staff have written. The survey is

anonymous to staff at the school.

2. Additionally, staff have randomly selected twelve

students (two from each grade) whose parents will be

phoned next week (by office staff) and asked to complete a

short 4 question survey about our school over the phone.

You are not obliged to participate, but we would really

appreciate if parents could support us in this endeavour. We

would love to hear your thoughts- positive or negative.

Today’s newsletter has the questions outlined (see back

page), with some spaces which parents might use to jot

down some thoughts, just in case you have been selected

for a phone call.

Any parent who does not receive a phone call next week are

certainly most welcome to complete the survey page and

return it to school just the same. A big thanks in anticipation!

MagpiesFor our students and families who walk or ride to school,

please be aware that there is a

magpie which has been swooping

people in the lane leading to the

school carpark in recent weeks.

A reminder to all students

to not stir or provoke the wildlife.
