Date: 17th December 2016 (Saturday) Time: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm Venue: Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College (22 Chui Wan Street, Chai Wan) Objective: To encourage youth to gain Islamic knowledge and to understand it in its true sense and apply it in daily routines to enlighten their lives. Important information and guidelines for Islamic Speech Competition: *The competition is open to both Muslim and non-Muslim contestants. * Primary group: Only Primary 4 to Primary 6 students are allowed to join. *Junior Secondary group: Secondary 1 to Secondary 3. *Senior Secondary group: Secondary 4 to Secondary 6. *Only individual entries will be entertained. *The competition will be held in 2 rounds. First Round: Each participant will deliver a prepared speech on one of the two designated topics. The speech should be 3 to 4 minutes long for primary group and junior secondary group, and 4 -5 minutes for senior secondary group. Second Round: Top participants from each category in the first round will participate in the second round, in which they will deliver an impromptu speech. Topics will be drawn randomly from the list. Participants will have 10 minutes to prepare and the speech should not exceed 2 minutes for primary group, 3 minutes junior secondary and 4 minutes for seniors. *Registration deadline: 5th December 2016. Entry forms are available at all Masjids, Madrassahs, Islamic schools, as well as on IKTMC website at www.iktmc.edu.hk . *Topics: Please see attached list. *Prizes: Very attractive prizes will be presented to the winners.
