REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

TOWN OF AWENDAW EAST COAST GREENWAY PHASE I

The Town of Awendaw is requesting proposals from qualified construction companies to build a Gravel Trail 3,100 feet long as part of the Awendaw East Coast Greenway. The trail is located in a three hundred (300) acre passive park on Doar Road oriented to natural areas. The park is owned by the Town and is under construction. This gravel trail will be primarily constructed on an existing roadway that was used for timbering operations in the past. A 1,300 feet long section of the trail is located in a wooded area and must be cleared following stand-ards used by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (to be provided). The trail will be con-structed of two inch crushed granite 789’s over crushed run on a compacted base. The Town has obtained a grant for the 3,100-foot long trail construction from the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s SC State Trails Program and is, therefore, seeking proposals for the trail construction. The trail is a 12-foot wide gravel path with a vertical clearance of nine feet. The shoulder width will be determined by site conditions.

FOR INDEPENDENT AUDITING SERVICES Chester County Wastewater Recovery (“CWR”) (formerly Chester Sewer District) is a special purpose district created by Legislative Act No. 480 as amended by Act No. 1186 (and subsequent Amendments thereto) of the Acts of the State of South Carolina for 1964. The CWR was created for the purpose of transporting, treating and disposing of wastewater originating within the CWR limits. Its function is to construct, operate and maintain lat-eral (collector) and interceptor sewers and trunk lines, and wastewater treatment plants. By agreement with the City of Chester, the CWR operates and maintains the sewer system in the City of Chester. The CWR is gov-erned by a five member Commission known as the CWR Commission; all of whom are appointed by the Gover-nor. The area of the CWR is defined by statute. A. GENERAL: CWR is requesting proposals for the provision of financial auditing services of its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 (and potentially four additional years) in accordance with generally accepted governmental auditing standards (GAGAS). It is the intent of this proposal offering to obtain what CWR consid-ers to be the best package of auditing services consistent with a fair and reasonable fee structure from a reputa-ble CPA firm doing business in the State of South Carolina (the Auditor). The purpose of this proposal request is to provide general requirements related to the required services. This RFP will serve as an integral part of the pricing agreement/ contract upon CWR’s acceptance of any successful Auditor’s offer. DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS: The deadline for receipt of sealed proposals is Friday, October 20, 2017 at 12:00pm. Due to the nature of in-formation requested by this Request For Proposal, no public opening will be held. D.
