Publishing Website - Licensing Application Instructions New User Registration •Go to www.emicmgpublishing.com on your web browser.

•To get started, click on “Licensing Application” under the “Licensing” tab at the top of the screen. •If you are a registered user, this is where you will log in to the application. If you are a new user, please click the link that says ”New user? Click Here to register”.

•Once you click on the new user link, you will be taken to a page with two questions confirming your eligibility for the application. **NOTE: A commercial licensee is anyone that intends to manufacture 5,000 or more units.

If you are not a commercial licensee, please click “No.”

•Answer these questions and click “Next Page”. •Next, you will be taken to this page.

•Please enter your information and click “Next Page”

•Then you will need to enter all of your account information. •Click Register when you are finished. •Once you have completed registration you will be taken to the User Agreement Page. Print this out and fax a copy to (615)-371-6897 and mail the original to

**NOTE: The faxed copy will expedite the process. Once you register you will not be able to license anything until an administrator approves your registration. Additionally, you will need to register a “Parent Company” as well as a “Licensee” before you can license anything.

Publishing Website - Licensing Application Instructions Requesting a Parent Company and Licensee Parent Company - This will be the name of the company whose name will appear on the royalty checks paid to EMI CMG Publishing.

Licensee - This is the name and address where documents, licenses, etc… will be mailed to. In most cases this will be the same thing as the “Parent Company” unless you are an independent license contractor or subsidiary of a larger corporation (i.e. Sparrow Records is a subsidiary division of EMI CMG).

•To request a new parent company , log into the licensing application and go to “Account Settings” and click “Request New Parent Company”

•You will then need to enter your parent company and request approval.

•Once you request a Parent Company, you will need to wait for the administrator to approve before you can begin licensing. This typically can be done in less than 24 hours. •Then you will need to request a Licensee. To do this, go to “Account Settings” and click “Request New Licensee” •Once you click “Request New Licensee” you will see this screen:

•Select your parent company (once it has been approved by the administrator) and click “Request New Licensee for this Parent Company”.

•Enter your information into the corresponding fields and click “Submit Licensee Request” **NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE LICENSING APPLICATION UNTIL BOTH A “PARENT COMPANY” AND “LICENSEE” HAVE BEEN REQUESTED AND APPROVED BY AN ADMINISTRATOR.

Publishing Website - Licensing Application Instructions Requesting a License via the Online Application Start the Licensing Application by clicking on it under the Licensing tab at the top of the page.

Sign in using your email address and password.

That will bring you to this screen:

Name your license and click “Create New License”

On the next page, choose your license type, licensee, and payment schedule. Then click “Next”. Enter all of your product information here and then click “Add Product to License”.

One your product has been added to the license, click “Next”. This will take you to our song search. Search for your song and click the red plus sign next to the song you want to add it to your “Schedule A Queue” Once you have added all the songs to your queue that are on the product (multiple songs can be added to the same license), click “Proceed to License Song Detail”.

Next, you need to add the songs to the license. To do this, click the red plus sign next to the songs in your queue. Will then need to enter the length of the song and click “Add Song to License”.

Once you are done adding the songs to the license, click “Finish License” to complete the process.
