An exciting line up of local artists, family events and customer appreciation sales await you from Wednesday July 20 through Saturday July 23. The ArtWalk has transformed from the former Crazy Days Sales, that were long running in the community, into a celebration of arts and culture across the city. This year artwork from local artisans is on display during participating businesses’ regular business hours. Use the map in the middle of this guide to explore the variety of locations, mediums, and textures on display.
Join us for the artists’ reception Friday July 22 from 4-8pm— businesses will re-main open for extended hours, giving you an opportunity to meet the artist and enjoy the live music that will be outside in the courtyards, squares, in front of businesses and between Beasley Realty and The BellTower. Local musicians such as Bart Budwig, Ironwood Run, Jens Hegg and Leslie Sena Moss will rotate throughout the evening.
There will be live painting at Prune Orchard and glass blowing in the Taco Del Mar Plaza. Art Wisdom Experience will host free family art activities and the Regional Theatre of the Palouse (RTOP) will have rehearsals for “Annie” open for the public to observe. Don’t forget to visit the all-ages graffiti wall at Flaco’s Tacos and this year’s Lentil Festival poster original art on display at Via Family Chiropractic.
In keeping with the essence of the long running history of Crazy Days, Pullman businesses are eager to show their cus-
tomer appreciation through BBQ’s, store specials and great discounts. Pullman Building Supply will have a BBQ and celebration on Saturday.
A special thank you to artist Car-rie Vielle for her work in creating and organizing the 2010 Pullman ArtWalk and stretching the canvas to celebrate the fine arts of our region.
It has been a pleasure organizing the 2011 Pullman ArtWalk for you. We thank you for your part in keeping the Arts alive in our community and joining us in discovering what Mayor Glenn Johnson says “ From the largest city on the Palouse comes the best ArtWalk ever!”— we do
believe he is right…
