SystemRequirements

Compatible Platforms: The platforms listed as compatible have not been systematically tested by Pulse Secure QA department in this release; however, Pulse Secure expects that the Pulse functionality will work based on testing of previous releases and knowledge of the platform.

Qualified Platforms: The platforms listed as qualified have been systematically tested by the Pulse Secure Quality Assurance department as part of this release.

1. DownloadthePulseSecureClientandrunthePulseSecure.pkginstaller.

2. ClickContinueandthenclickInstall.

3. EnteradministratorcredentialsandclickInstallSoftwaretobegintheinstallation.Whencompletedclickclose.

4. Onceinstalled,PulseSecurewillappearinthestatusbar.

5. ClickthePulseSecureiconinthestatusbarandchooseOpenPulseSecure.

16. EnsurethatRegisteredUserisselected,enteryournetworkcredentialsandclickok.

17. Selectyourdepartmentfolderandclickconnect.

18. Onceconnectedthefolderwillopenandyouareabletobrowsethecontents.Ifthewindowisclosed,youmayreopenitbylocatingthenetworkiconforyourdepartmentfolderonyourdesktop.(Note:WhenyourconnectiontotheVPNisdisconnected,theiconwilldisappear.

19. Todisconnect,clickthePulseSecureiconinthestatusbar,selectyourVPNconnection(UPENNVPN)anddisconnect.

Suspend:maintainsVPNauthenticationbutbreakstheconnectiontoyourdestination.

(ChoosingExit,willclosePulseSecureandalsoforcetheconnectiontoclose.)

20. Determine32bitvs.64bit.Note:ThePulseSecuresoftwareforWindowsisavailablefor32bitand64bitsystems.Youmustidentifywhichsystemyou’reusinganddownloadthecorrespondingsoftware.

A) CheckingYourVersionofWindows10

• Open the Settings app by pressingWindows+ i,

• Click System -> About• On the right pane, look for the

“System type” entry. It will showyou two pieces of information—whether you’re using a 32-bit or64-bit operating system andwhether you have a 64-bit capableprocessor.

B) CheckingYourVersionofWindows7orVista

• Clickthestartbutton,right-clickComputer,andthenchooseProperties.

• OntheSystempage,lookfortheSystemtypeentrytoseewhetheryouroperatingsystemis32-bitor64-bit.Notethat,unlikeinWindows8and10,theSystemtypeentryinWindows7doesnotshowwhetheryourhardwareis64-bitcapable.

21. DownloadPulseSecureSoftware.(Bydefault,thesoftwarewillsaveinyour‘Downloads’folder.Note:Youmusthaveadministratorcredentialstoinstallthesoftware.Ifyoudon’thaveadministratorcredentials,contactyoursupportproviderorownerofthecomputer.

22. Oncethedownloadislocated,double-clicktorunit.

• Ifprompted,clickYestoallowUserAccountControltobegintheinstallation.
