Project Core Values

The premises is located in Greenock, Scotland. Greenock is a historic industrial town by the

Firth of Clyde, 25 miles west of Glasgow. There are the docks, art galleries, architecture and

museums that bring people to this coastal town. Greenock also has a number of shopping

facilities, including the Oak Mall Shopping Centre, and many restaurants, cafes and pubs to

visit.

Argyll and Sutherland is situated on a main road frequented by locals and students day and

night and is close to all the local amenities. It houses a traditional horseshoe bar to one side

with a lounge to the other that hosts live entertainment and functions.

The market for traditional community pubs in this area is saturated. It is time to introduce a bar

with individuality and presence with an emphasis on specialist gins and crafts beers. The main

aim is to open up the space allowing for a much brighter, spacious venue and fluid movement

through each zone. Increasing the kitchen footprint will allow for a broader food offer.

The beer garden will be upgraded and decorated with atmospheric festoon lights, attracting

passers-by to the new haunt.

The result will be a much more contemporary, dynamic space with a more exciting food offer.

Whilst unique and exciting, this space aims to appeal to all ages.
