Why Budgets Advocacy?Government policies/legislations are no more

than lips services if not backed by budgetary provisions.

The ‘strong interest groups’ get more budgets than ‘weak interest groups’.

Budgets are meant to put policies into actions.

Formula. Pakistan spends only 2.3 % of the GDP for Education or $5.3

Billion - GDP of Pakistan: $232.2 Billion (World Bank)If 4% of GDP then the education budgets shall be $9.3 BillionCurrent Spending is significantly lower than most developing
