Locally, Dakota has choreographed for Dances in the Park and her high school dance team, which placed first place at Dancefest Nationals. Dakota has an immense love for dance and hopes to share her passion with all those she teaches and those who surround her. “ The Team performed in outstanding fashion this past weekend. It is impressive to know that Chatham Kent can produce such talent and work ethic. Competing against dance studios from the USA at events like this force the team to raise the bar to such a high level and the team stepped up and met the challenge!” said PURE Academy Coach Melissa Coleman. “For me it really is a pleasure to work with these young ladies and men – very proud of their accomplishments.”

PURE’s next action will at the Hollywood Vibe Regional Dance convention in Cleveland Ohio March 22nd through March 24th.

PURE SURVEY 2013 RESULtS!I would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the custom-er survey that was distributed a few weeks back. PURE is now in its 5th year of business and we strive for all of our customers to be fully satisfied and pleased with the service that PURE provides. Please note that the complete survey results will be available at the front desk should you wish to see it. Results from the survey have helped to confirm many of the items that we were hoping our customers would appreciate. Exceptional scores were noted concerning the quality of the instruction in the classroom, quality of the administration, hours of operation, perfor-mance opportunities and the quality of the PURE recitals.

High scores were noted concerning PURE’s facility, ease of choosing a class at PURE, PURE’s website, PURE’s newsletter, the Christmas show and summer camp opportunities. Skill testing examination options and the Dancing in Disney World op-portunity for our recreational dancers, were supported and both will be implemented into the 2013/2014 dance season. One of the concerns noted form the survey was the price associated with theatre events and recitals. From the very beginning it has been a goal of PURE to create exceptional performance opportunities for our boys and girls. The Capitol theatre is the only facility in Chatham-Kent that can support our large cast sizes in both the dressing rooms and the wing spaces backstage in a functional and safe manner. We believe the Capitol theatre logistics, stage space, sound and lighting is one of the reasons why the recitals and shows look and sound the way they do! We know that our teachers and students love the space from the performance side of the equation. While it has been noted from the survey that both the Christmas show and year-end recitals are appreciated from a quality perspective – it is also important to note that these quality productions come with a cost. We believe the Capitol theatre offers the best op-portunity for both the performers as well as those who enjoy the show from the seats! Please continue to support the performers at PURE by attending the recitals and Christmas show. Please note that a broader range of ticket prices will be made available in 2013 depending on where you select your seats. Finally we are looking forward to another exciting change in 2013, which will be the leveling and language descriptions associated with all classes at PURE! Class names, age groupings and class opportunities will be streamlined and consistent for all to understand. (i.e. Level 1 Ballet, Lev-el 1 Tap, Level 1 Jazz will be for students aged 5 through 6) Thanks again for taking the time to complete the survey and for taking the time to read this summary letter. We appreciate your feedback and we appreciate you choosing PURE as your service provider for a perform-ing arts education. We are grateful for your support! Sincerely,Kent Willmore
