Summary
This is a tiny little project (about 1 gram of filament), which simply createsa refrigerator magnet out of a 10mm diameter x 3mm neodymium magnetin the shape of a popular type of thumbtack.
I bought 35 of these magnets from Amazon (US) here https://www.amazon.com/Refrigerator-JACK-CHLOE-Stainless-Approximately/dp/B01MFHNHNW/ for about $9.00.
I've provided 2 gcode files. The one with the word 'pause' in the name willpause the printer at the correct time and present the build plate forwardfor you to insert the magnet into the hole mid-print. Then once youresume, your print will finish and the magnet will be embedded.
The final parts are about 18.5mm tall and make a nice size to hold yournotes and such to any metallic surface.
The STEP export from Fusion 360 is included here for this project so youcan make your own with other magnet sizes.
I've also included the Fusion 360 archive on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3590873) (PrusaPrinters.org won't accept f3dfiles for some reason). Finally, I've posted a video here of how it works/howit was made: https://youtu.be/lAp39FZbVRQ.
