Letter From The Executive Director

Welcome to the 58th Annual AASBO Annual Conference and Exposition! This last year has certainly been one of many changes and I am extremely excited to be starting my

fi rst year as Executive Director. It is an even greater thrill to be working with such an outstanding group of people in presenting such an exceptional event as this year’s Annual Conference and Expo. This year’s theme, ”The Road to Excellence,” is entirely appropriate as we seek to provide the valuable information that school business offi cials need in providing a quality educational environment and doing so with limited school budgets. We are all aware of the fi nancial diffi culties facing the State of Arizona, but it is important to remember that a quality educational system is a vital component of economic development, and our eff orts to promote excellence within our profession and Arizona

schools will be a major factor in contributing to the state’s economic recovery. Whether you are a school business offi cial or one of our many business associates, I believe you will fi nd a host of valuable resources and inspirational opportunities to help you fi nd your “Road to Excellence” at this year’s conference. I would like to thank our outstanding Committee Chair, Gerrick Monroe, for his leadership and perseverance and wish him all the best during his upcoming adventures in China. Thank you also to AASBO’s excellent Board of Directors, Mr. John Fung, and our great staff who have made this transition a wonderful experience. Due to their eff orts, and your participation in this year’s conference, AASBO will continue to be the Association of Choice in promoting excellence within the school business profession. Welcome and thank you for being a part of our travels down the “Road to Excellence!”
