Michigan State Parks and Recreation Areas depend greatly on volunteers. Volunteer campground hosts assist campers by answering questions and explaining rules in a pleasant, helpful manner. They greet new campers, distribute information and arrange campground activities for children. For more information, visit www.michigan.gov/dnrvolunteer.

Beginning October 1, 2010 you can support Michigan state parks, forests, recreation areas and local parks by “Checking Yes” when you register your vehicle. For $10 instead of $24 (a 58% savings) you will gain access to all state parks and boating access sites and will support state forests and local parks as well.
