For the first two weekends back from quarantine,

mass at St. Mark has been outdoors on Saturday

evening at 5:30pm. In order to accommodate the

schedules and needs of all our parishioners, we will

now celebrate mass on Sunday morning at 8am this

weekend (June 21st) and next weekend. ( June

28th) . Mass will again be outdoors at St. Mark but

at 8am, and there will be no Saturday evening

mass on these weekends. After we celebrate these

two Sunday masses, we will reconsider what schedule

works best for our community, as well as consider any

developments in public health guidelines for our dio-

cese and our community. Thank you to those whose

great help has made it possible for us to return to

public worship in a safe and prayerful manner!

GLORIA

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.

We praise you, we bless you,  we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father.

Lord Jesus Christ, Only Bego en Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world,    have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world,   receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father,   have mercy on us.

For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, With the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

FIRST READING   Jeremiah 20:10‐13

J eremiah  said:  “I hear  the whisperings of many; ‘Terror  on  every  side!  Denounce!  Let  us  de‐

nounce him!’    All  those who were my  friends  are on the watch for any misstep of mine.  ‘Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail, and take our vengeance on him.’  But the Lord is with me, like a

mighty  champion: my  persecutors  will  stum‐ble, they will not triumph.  In their failure they will  be  put  to  u er  shame,  to  las ng,  unfor‐ge able confusion.  O Lord of hosts, you who test  the  just, who probe mind  and  heart,  let me witness the vengeance you take on them.  Sing to the Lord, praise to the Lord, for he has rescued the life of the poor from the power of the wicked!”

The word of the Lord.  Res: Thanks be to God.

PSALM RESPONSE:  Lord, in your great love,       answer me.

  SECOND READING:   Romans 5:12‐15

B rothers and sisters:  Through one man sin en‐tered  the world,  and  through  sin,  death,  and

thus  death  came  to  all  men,  inasmuch  as  all sinned—for  up  to  the  me  of  the  law,  sin was  in the world, though sin is not accounted when there is no law.  But death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over  those who did not sin a er  the pa ern of the trespass of Adam, who is the type of the one who was to come.  But  the gi   is not  like  the  transgression.  For  if  by the  transgression  of  the  one  the many  died,  how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gi   of  the  one man  Jesus  Christ  overflow  for  the many.  The word of the Lord.  Res: Thanks be to God.

GOSPEL:  John 3:16‐18

The Lord be with you.  Res: And with your Spirit.

A  reading  from  the  Holy  Gospel  according  to

Ma hew.       Res: Glory to You, O Lord.

J esus said to the twelve:  “Fear no one.  Nothing is concealed that will not be  revealed,  nor  secret  that  will  not  be  known.  What  I  say  to  you  in  the  darkness,  speak  in  the

light;  what  you  hear  whispered,  proclaim  on  the housetops.   And do not be afraid of  the one who can destroy both soul and body  in Gehenna.   Are not  two  sparrows  sold  for  a  small  coin?    Yet  not one of  them  falls  to  the  ground without  your  Fa‐ther’s knowledge.   Even all the hairs of your head are  counted.    So do not be  afraid;  you are worth more  than  many  sparrows.    Everyone  who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.     But whoever denies me before others,  I will deny before my heavenly Father.”  The gospel of the Lord.

Res: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Bego en Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, bego en, not made,  consubstan al with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salva on he came down from heaven,

At the words that follow, up to and including  “and became man,” all bow.

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate  of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified       under Pon us Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand       of the Father. He will come again in glory  to judge the living and the dead

and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit,       the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son       is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.  I believe in one, holy, catholic       and apostolic Church. I confess one Bap sm for the       forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the       resurrec on of the dead and the life of the world to come.
