1 Bodyweight equipment, rather than any of those "adjustable" machines shown above. Have triedthose and was not impressed.

2 Bodyweight/calisthetic type equipmen such as rings, rails/bars that can be used for inclinepushups or incline pull-ups/rows; these allow a person to vary the level of difficulty based on wherethe grab the bars. A great model is the National Fitness Campaign's "Fitness Court" in the MarinaGreen Park in SF. NationalFitnessCampaign.com provides a $30K matching grant for cities tobuild one of their Fitness Courts and they have online and mobile tutorials for people to learn touse the equipment and suggested workouts. 21st century stuff.
