The colour schemes are similar because the rock genre is stereotyped with dark colours.
The title is the biggest writing on the page because its the most important because if it wasn't for the logo the reader wouldn’t know what their reading.
Direct mode of address is used on front covers of magazines to bring in the reader, its as if the person on the fronts looking at them.
Cover lines are set around the magazine cover to give a range of different previews of what's in the magazine so it reaches out to different types of readers.
Its used so people know what magazine it is and what their buying.
Colour schemes are used so the magazine isn't too bright and has too many colours.

Columns are used on the contents page so more contents can be added for the readers and it gives the page a bit of an order.
The photos used are very important for the contents because it tells the reader a lot about what's going to be in that issue

My magazine comparing it with this real magazine I think mine looks more real because of the use of columns. Most magazines use 3 columns and I went with the majority of the magazines double page spreads. I think my stand first works well too because its in line with the columns whereas the real magazines stand first looks like its floating around.
I think the smaller photos work well because the reader can see what some of the band look like, I put the photos by some quotes from things they said making the writing a different colour and size.
