Bold Masthead: The effect that the bold masthead is that it attracts people to it, therefore informing people of what the magazine is about. As well as the positioning of it being in the primary optical area which is the effect because it is in the route of the eye. This is conventional to the type of the genre because of the colours used, the dark red and black are very manly colours which the genre Indie/Rock targets.
