FELLOWSHIP

Convenor – Tr. Uttam & Tr. Vijay

1. Dinner was hosted @ Murugan Idly for Tr. Srikant Saboo from Dubai RT1 on 3.1.16. In fact Tr. Udayensured that Srikant didn’t feel alone in Chennai at all, roaming point to point that night.

2. RANG DE BASANTI 7TH TO 10TH JANUARY, 2016: 5 OF US VISITED NAGM “Range De Basanti,” my 1stNAGM, and it was truly amazing to see the spirit of tabling throughout the country. The passion withwhich people table is truly commendable. Glamoroma, NAGM, Mika-Night, Awards Night were all great.I especially cannot get over the fact how easily we stayed up till 7am the last night without our dinner.

Getting to meet fellow tablers from across the country, all with one common denominator was a greatfeeling.

3. Cricket Practice Fellowship on 8-1-16 attended by 8 tablers and 1 square leg. This was the 1st fellowshiporganized by Captain cum Co-fellowship Convenor Tr. Vijay, and this set the momentum for the A2CL.SpicersXI are all ready to give a challenge to other tables.

4. Cricket fellowship @ Khan’s Academy with Breakfast @ Saravanna on 12-1-16 was particularly organizedto decide on the bowlers for the A2CL. It seems that MSRT159 has almost 8 good bowlers.

5. Cricket Fellowship on 14-1-16 – Pongal Holidays, so it was perfect to have a practice, this time @ YMCA,Royapattah.

6. KARAOKE NIGHT WITH POTLUCK @ HOME on 22.1.16: Tr. Niket’s terrace is one place which we don’t missany year of tabling, and it is usually after Christmas. He lights up the place well, there is every kind of drinkor dish available that night thanks to Niky and all the circlers. We were 32 heads including circlers andtwinklers that night. We sang songs of the likes of “Hotel California, Alice, Linkin Park,” that night apartfrom the usual Naresh stuff “Babul ki Dua.” We even played few hands of Poker, before most decided tocall it a night, except Niky’s good old friend Uday, who decided not to go home till he is thrown out (Punintended)

7. GEEK/NERD @ BIG BANG THEORY: Tr. Uday does things differently, and he continued to do so. A differentsocial, where we were expected to come as nerds, or rather “Uday.” Almost 40 heads turned up thatnight, and we solved quite a few puzzles that night. And all those who did, carried some home too to solveit after the hangover.

8. Cricket Match on 31-1-16 @ SRF manali Grounds. This was a perfect set up to experience the pitch, thesurface and also to experiment with the bowlers and batsman.

9. Home Fellowship – Sapaad Night on 3-2-16 attended by 17 heads. Boys Night out, on a weekday, withalmost full house can only be dreamt, when the girls are on a ladies night out away from the city. It wasone hell of a night - Square legs also joined us. We discussed outstation trip, world meet and had anamazing host - VC Tr. Naresh taking care of all of us. During this meeting Tr. Uday sold the Heide 159 pinto Tr. Narendar for Rs.11000 and also handed over 300 pounds to Chairman Deepak which he had raisedfrom RT159 Heide. A special way to celebrate the anniversary of Jitesh-Veena was practiced - Cake cuttingthrough Video Conferencing.

10. Cricket Practice@ YMCA on 3-2-16 attended by 10 heads. A practice @ Nets was a good way to boostourselves after a full match the previous week. Bowlers, especially, people like me practiced their line. Also the team batting line up was discussed.

11. Cricket Match - A2CL on 6-2-16 attended by 12 heads. The 1st match of A2CL - RT159 vs RT94, and itseemed like a cakewalk for RT159 thanks to some amazing performance in batting by Captain Vijay,Chairman Deepak. No doubt bowling by Tr. Naresh was to perfection.

12. Match No2 - A2CL on 7-2-16 attended by 13 heads. This was one hell of a match which literally got alltablers of Area2 present in Manali, and the remaining connected via WHATSAPP, glued to. It ultimatelywent in the way of the best performing team - RT159, on that day. MART100 were shocked, as they hadleast expected us to knock them out of the league. Some amazing bowling by Naresh, Kunal & Rajesh agood partnership in batting between Santosh & myself, and the penultimate over in batting by Tr. Uttamsealed victory for us.

13. Match Victory Celebrations on 7-2-16 attended by 10 heads. All of us gathered at Hotel Bever Lee tocelebrate the victory over MART100. Spice had entered semifinals of A2CL after a long gap of almost 14years, and this definitely called for a celebration. We discussed and realized that it was a complete teamwork, and we must do everything possible, that we carry the momentum ahead.

14. Practice @ YMCA on 12-2-16 attended by 6 heads. After victory, it is very dangerous to get over-confident.Hence Captain Vijay ensured we continue to practice for the next match. Bowling and fielding were 2departments which needed more attention.

EXPERIENCE – MY 1ST NAGM – RTI’S 54TH AGM – RANG DE BASANTI @ DELHIThis is my 1st year on my Table’s head Board as Secretary, and I would like to thank my Chairman Tr. DeepakDugar for giving me this opportunity and IPAC Tr. Shriram Duvvuri for making me feel confident that I can deliver.Having completed 6 months as the Secretary, I decided to attend my 1st NAGM @ Delhi, and was all excitedabout the same. After lot of drama of missing my morning flight, I finally landed in Delhi on 7-1-16 @ 9.30 PM,and the next 3 days were so enriching.

7-1-16The Glamorama contest, and then the after party was a nice appetizer to start the NAGM experience.

Highlights:Akash & Poonam Mehta of Area 3 won the contest.

Hemant & Sofia Khandelwal of our own Area 2 both won the Best talented Individuals.

Our own dynamic multi faceted National fellowship Convenor cum Area 2 AST Ankit was the MC for the night.

Page 23: Q3 report - MSRT159

8-1-16

Time for some Business. After a long night on 7th, everyone had a lazy morning on 8th. I saw the NP Tr. Sumanliterally pushing everyone @ the breakfast to let him gather a quorum to start the AGM, and once it did, it wastime for business. I had seen the Area AGM, but this was another level – A great theme “Youngistan,” and timefor me sign my 1st Delegate Form – yes, it did feel special (You do get a chance to vote, and it does count). Everytime a Motion was being passed, I used to be excited to shout “159,” but was NEVER HEARD though! I amparticularly happy for the following recognitions which MSRT 159 received:

MSRT159 – COM FOR EXTENSION FROM IPP TR.DEEPAK

MSRT159 – RECOGNITION FOR FELLOWSHIP & PUBLICITY BY NEX

MSRT159- 2ND QUARTER SUPER SECRETARY RECOGNITION BY NEX

It was time the President wound the meeting, so that we could head for a journey – yes, indeed a 1 hour drive toDelhi (yes, technically we were in Faridabad) to enjoy the “Mika Night.” Though it was like we didn’t realize whenhe came and disappear along with Amisha Patel (thanks to Tr.Tarang krishna of Area5), Area 2 tablers and circlersenjoyed to the core till almost 5 in the morning.

9-1-16

This morning (technically afternoon) when the AGM resumed, it was time for some serious heated arguments. Some motions, especially the ones of removing the NTTE from the National Head Board, re-organizations ofAreas, dissolving of few tables, giving all Table Chairman a voting right @ AEX made me realize how organizedand planned movement tabling was. We guys were particularly so interested as our own AC Tr. Inder Singh wouldnow technically be the last elected NTTE of RTI, and I sincerely wish he proves Area 5 wrong, who had this motionpass. And not to forget, I am waiting to witness “DHANDANAKA,” NAGM-2017 – what an amazing theme, andyes, NS Tr. Chris clarified few points on what to expect, and what to not

Page 24: Q3 report - MSRT159

I also enjoyed the way NP Tr. Suman carried out almost all motions except 2, and the way the observers ensuredthat the tablers had respect for the process and the National Head Board. I am sure that moment Suman wouldhave literally felt that he was no less than “MR.PRESIDENT,” I am sure you understand what I am trying to say!

Highlights: All Motions were passed except

Motion No 4 was withdrawn by NEX

Motion No 12 was withdrawn by VRT196.

Then it was time for a huge number of awards for Area 2 thanks to IPAC Tr. Shriram (Bhagwan of RTI), to startnetworking and party. I could see that my own fellow tabler Shriram so elated. The original venue (I don’tunderstand how) for the Awards Night was again available, and we did enjoy it to the core – We didn’t have totravel 1 hour, and the music was on till 7 in the morning. Temperature that night was actually very low, and someRum helped me withstand it. It was really nice to meet people from all over the country, with the same passionabout tabling that we have here @ Area 2.
