After the US victory in the Persian Gulf War, George Bush’s popularity

The North American Free Trade Agreement lowered tariffs and

brought Mexico into the free-trade zone. Critics argued that the

agreement would weaken environmental regulations and cause

more American jobs to be lost to foreign nations. Supporters believed

Mexico.
