Our target audience interact with all different kinds of social media depending on their age. The internet such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube would be for people 15-27. TV would be for people from around 28-40 and people 40+ would read the newspaper. So there are lots of ways to attract different ages to want to watch our film. The main type of advertising we would do is pull advertising. We would create different accounts for our film, and pay to have our add promoted on the sites so everyone can see e.g. Twitter and Facebook. We would have Paramount Pictures put our trailer on YouTube. We would set up a website that people could go to to find out everything about our film and watch interviews with the actors and watch clips on how the filming is going etc., all of that would then get people to talk about going to see it with their friends. We would also use a bit of push advertising and have posters up on bus shelters and people are always looking for something to do while they are waiting for the bus. We would also look about getting our trailer put on channels like Channel 4, E4 and MTV.We would also look in to getting our film shown at different events during brakes e.g. MTV movie awards, BAFTAs and the Golden Globes, we would make sure that all the main cast would appear at all of these events. A few days/a week before the event we we do a few test screenings to people that have sky movies, in major city's and see how well they turn out. On the day of our film Premier we would get the cast to come in all different ways to surprise the people and make them interested.

For our film we would cast actors from similar film genres to interest people even more. For our main girl we would use Ellen Page because she’s been in thrillers such as Inception and Hard Candy but she's also been is typical rom-com films such as Juno and Whip It. So she would interest a wide verity of teens. For the Stalker/Physiatrist we would use Leonardo Di-Caprio because he’s been on lots of thriller films like Inception, Se7en and Shutter Island. A wider age range of people that would be attracted to the film because of that. On our posters we would put different comments of from magazines such as ‘The performances are solid and the directing is inspired’ (quote from http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/mar/11/shutter-island-review) and we would put the two people that it is starring on the front and have a picture of them to so people wouldn't’t actually have to read they would know but looking at the poster.

targeted your audience.

To see how well our OTS addressed our target audience, we showed our film to our target audience and we received the following feed back:

In terms of genre one person said that our ‘choice of soundtrack was good, it created a dark atmosphere’ another person said ‘Its good how it switches between past and present frames and having no dialogue creates mystery and doesn't give away any information about characters which is typical of thrillers’

For affective mise-en-scene, someone said ‘The mobile was a good ideas as it linked the two characters together and hinted and the stalker aspect of narrative. Another person said ‘The location of the woods was well chosen, secluded and quiet which is very typical for thriller films.’ and finally ‘The location of the college was good as it suggested safety, but doesn't’t sop the girl from getting calls from her stalker’

For our Technical Aspects people say ‘Our use of graphic matches were affective and linked the scenes together nicely.’ and ‘Cuts between the flashbacks and present shots were quick, white flashes, it made the scene more intense and let people know that something bad was/had/happened.’ and lastly ‘The black and white clearly showed the audience the time different and well as portraying something horrific happening to the girl.

Form the feedback, I think we was successful in getting our target audience interested in our film the following ways, we was able to show that something was going bad in the woods without having to show them being killed. The use of the phone was good to link the past and present together and showing that it was the same girl. Also, our use of graphic match was good people it showed that things were repeating themselves and she was starting to feel the same way and she did that day all over again.
