3 A ball is dropped from the top of a tower 30m high. At the same instant a second ball is thrown upward from the

ground with an initial velocity of 15m/sec . when and where do they cross and with what relative velocity?

4 Two trains A and B leave the same station in parallel lines.Train A starts with a uniform velocity of 0.15m/sec2and

attains a speed of 27Kmphwhen the steam is reduced to keep speed constant, Train B leaves 40seconds later with an

uniform acceleration of 0.3m/sec2 to attain a maximum speed of 54 Kmph. When and where will B over take A?

5. A ball is thrown vertically upwards with an initial velocity of 36m/sec .After 2 seconds, another ball is thrown vertically

upwards . what should be the initial velocity so that it crosses the first ball at a height of 30m.

6. A stone is dropped into a well without initial velocity. Its splash is heard after 3.5seconds. Another stone is dropped with

some initial velocity and its splash is heard after 3 sec.Determine the initial velocity of the second stone if the velocity of

sound is 335m/sec.

7. A projectile is aimed at a target on the horizontal plane and falls 12m short when the angle of projection is 150,while it

over shoots by 24mwhen the angle is 450. Find the angle of projection to hit the target.

8. A cricket ball thrown by a fielder from a height of 2m, at an angle of 300 to the horizontal,with an initial velocity of

20m/sec,hits the wickets at a height of 0.5m from the groung. How far was the fielder from the wickets?

9. two trains A and B are moving on parallel tracks in opposite direction. Velocity of A is twice that of B. they take 18 secto

pass each other. Determine the velocity, given the length of the train A is 240m and that of B is 300m

10 Ship A is approaching a port in due East direction with a velocity of 15 Kmph. When this ship was 50 Km apart from

port, ship B sails in N 450W direction with a velocity of 25 Kmph from the port.After what time the two ships are at

minimum distance and how far each has travelled.
