Turn the main power switch to ‘ON’. Power pilot lamp (B) lights, LCD touch-panel and temperature controller also lights.

2. Nozzle ‘ON’

Nozzle coming IN button on the LCD touch-panel turned ‘ON’.

3. Set-up temperature

Upper roller temperature, Nozzle air temperature set is carried out at this stage. Input intended temperature to the temperature controller (Refer page 10)

4. Roller heater ‘ON’

Roller heater ON/OFF button on the LCD touch-panel turned ‘ON’. Roller temperature will be gradually rising. (Roller heater is not able to use when silicon upper roller is mounted.)

CAUTION Upper roller heating up at lower position causes damage for lower silicon roller, Heat-up at upper position is very important to keep silicon roller life to long.

It will take about 15 minuets to heat-up and stabilize the temperature.

CAUTION Nozzle coming IN button should be ‘OFF’ when using only upper roller heater.

Draining work for the regulator once a day in prior machineoperation shall be required with pushing drain faucet at bottom ofthe regulator. Neglect for draining work should cause of machine trouble such astrouble of component in the air circuit and failure of nozzle heater.THIS WORK IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAINTAIN MACHINEALWAYS IN GOOD CONDITION. 5. Nozzle heater ‘ON’ Switch to ‘ON’ Nozzle heater ON/OFF button on the LCD touch-panel Air will be blowing from the nozzle and Indicator of nozzle air temperature controller (PV) should be rising.

6. Adjustment of pressure

Adjust nozzle air pressure and upper roller pressure. Adjusts with each pressure regulator (Refer page 11) (Pressure indicator for upper roller is effective only at lower position, therefore adjustment of the upper roller should be done at lower position)

7. Start to drive

Down the upper roller by stepping ‘ON’ the upper roller UP / DOWN switch pedal (F) then Steps ‘ON’ the machine drive start pedal switch (E). Machine runs only while this switch is keeping in step ‘ON’.

CAUTION We would like to recommend operating the machine as a running-in operation for

more than 15 minutes at the first time with following conditions. Nozzle air pressure 0.05 ~ 0.1Mpa Nozzle air temperature 300 degrees Celsius Upper roller temperature 80 degrees Celsius It is also recommended to operate as a running-in operation at first time after nozzle heater replacement. Some of smoke or odor may be produced at first time after machine installation or nozzleheater replacement for a while, these are not cause in machine problem, solution will made in due time.

CAUTION It is recommendable to confirm the sealing condition with means to seal material scrap inprior of actual operation.

Switch ‘OFF’ the Roller heater ON / OFF switch button on the LCD touch panel.

3. Nozzle heater ‘OFF’ Switch ‘OFF’ the nozzle heater ON / OFF switch button on the LCD touch panel. Due to a reason for protection of heater element, Air will still be blowing even ‘OFF’ the nozzle heater but Air automatically stops in due time after about 10 minutes.

After nozzle air stops 4. Turn ‘OFF’ the main power switch

Cut off the main power. 5. Stop the compressor <When sudden power falure will be struck> QHP-908 has a function to protect its nozzle heater element from sudden power failure. This means that the nozzle air is continuously blowing even if the power would suddenly down. (Up to the capacity of the compressor tank.) This function basically provides for the sudden power failure, therefore it is always requested to cut OFF the power only after the nozzle air-blow is completely stops.

CAUTION Keeping main power switch to ‘ON’ position is required WhilingNozzle air is blowing after heater switch is switched ‘OFF’.

CAUTION 1. Make sure to cut the main power switch at the latest timing so that to prevent

machine trouble. 2. Confirm all parts of where heated are cooled down before leave the machine site.

Nozzle air temperature set-up Nozzle air temperature set-up can be done when the nozzle heater ON / OFF switch on the LCD touch panel switched to → Under normal condition, temperature reaches at set-up figure regardless of nozzle air pressure, but if the nozzle air pressure set less than 0.2 Mpa. temperature may not reaches to set-up figure due to Heater capacity. Recommendable pressure set-up is around 0.4 Mpa. and is required.

Upper roller heater temperature set-up Upper roller heater temperature set-up can be done when the roller heater ON / OFF switch on the LCD touch-panel switched to Temperature can be adjusted by means of the touch panel, adjustment is done as below.

1. Push menu button at main screen. 2. Input password to go to menu screen (if necessary). 3. Push roller heater button in the menu screen shown as below. 4. In the roller heater temperature set screen increase or decrease

the temperature Indication is not actual numbers of temperature, it shows only % of power supply to the heater.

*For optional device (Digital roller heater temperature controller) see page 27.

NOTES 1. According as the machine drive speed, Hot air temperature requires few times higher

than tape-melting temperature, Hot air temperature set-up should be accordingly withparticular sealing result.

2. The indicated temperature is not necessarily equal with actual blowing air temperature because of sensor positioning. The temperature showing at controller is used as just a loadstar of machine condition.
