This example of the use of QR codes comes from
University of Lethbridge student teacher Megan Story, from a practicum experience at Foothills Composite High
in Okotoks, AB.
Students were put in groups and we sent on a scavenger hunt around the school. QR code clues matched the color of the group worksheet and when scanned, produced a
text message, using a part of the school as a metaphor for a particular cell structure. This activity was followed by rich discussion in the classroom,
examining why the metaphors that were used
aligned with a particular cell structure.
