HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF SOUTHSIDE?

I grew up in a home where my mother walked with God. Shemade sure to instill a love of Christ in her children from anearly age. I gave my life to Christ in Sunday School. I stillremember the message about heaven and hell and thenudging of the Holy Spirit when, with the faith of a child, I

accepted Jesus. My church at the time did not put an emphasis on baptism, so it wasn'tuntil I went away to college and the Spirit put a "Paul" in my life to disciple me that I wasbaptized. I have served a few churches since that time and also had the honor of beingordained as a deacon, which has been a blessing by increasing my opportunities to serve.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF SOUTHSIDE?

God has been teaching me for over five decades while usingme in ministry through teaching, counseling, and musicprograms. I have chosen to be Baptist because if you havetwo Baptists you will have at least three opinions, which Ifind is a great way to learn! I continue to be amazed

WALK WITH CHRIST

at how God reveals things to me whether it is bringing to mind areas in my life where Hewants me to improve or providing new insights as we discuss scripture even though Ihave studied during the week. God's provision has been evident throughout my life (lotsof stories but I'm supposed to be brief) and I look forward to where He leads next.
