GENERAL INFORMATIONYou have purchased a ROUSSEAU CO. 2875-2875XL MITER SAW SUPER STAND.This unit is especially useful to the finish carpenter and cabinet or furniture builder.This stand supports stock while you cut and provides stops out to 84”. It is easy tostore, mobile with locking casters and has instant set up. It fits most 10” - 15” sawsup to 27-1/4” wide (36” wide with 2875XL). Optional right hand stop system is avail-able (3800R) .

WARRANTYThis product has a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser that applies to defectsin materials and workmanship only. We will repair or replace the product or part(s)at our discretion. This warranty does not apply to product failure or defects due todirect or indirect misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, alterations, repairs or lackof maintenance. The item must be shipped prepaid to our Clarkston, WA location. Ifitems must be returned for warranty service, call to receive a Return Goods Authori-zation (RGA) number and further instruction.

SAFETY GUIDELINESTHIS SECTION CONTAINS IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION CONCERNING AHAZARD THAT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH, and/or damage to standor equipment if used improperly. Please read the following instructions very carefully.

Always set stand on level ground or floor surface, making sure alllegs are in contact with the ground or floor with casters locked.Failure to do so could result in tipping or rolling of the table caus-ing saw movement and injury to the operator or to the equipment.

Be sure saw is bolted in securely. Failure to do so could result ininjury to self or saw.

Make sure top of saw base is level with arms. Failure to do socould result in kickback, causing injury to self and/or saw.

When using adjustable stops, always hold work tight to table at asafe distance from blade, until blade has come to a complete stop.Failure to do so could result in kickback, causing injury to self,saw, or work piece.

When cutting small pieces use a hold down stick to hold work inplace until blade has stopped. Failure to do so could result inkickback, causing injury to self, saw, or work piece.

Allow blade to stop at bottom of travel before raising. Failure to doso could result in kickback, causinginjury to self, saw, or work piece.

Keep fingers clear of hinge mecha-nisms when dropping supportwings. Failure to do so could resultin pinching or loss of fingers.

Step 2 Connect the twocross braces throughcenter hole with bolt.Tighten with fingers.

Step 3 Install crossbraces using bottom holeon bottom shelf bracket &bottom hole on top shelfbracket.

Step 1 Fasten sideframes to bottom shelfusing bolts & nutsprovided in top holesonly. Finger tighten.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS FOR ASSEMBLY• 1/2” wrench (1) • Hammer or mallet• 7/16” wrenches (2) • Needle nose pliers• Drill & drill bit** • Phillips screwdriver• Pencil • Safety glasses• Tape Measure • Straight edge

STEP 6 Turn stand over,insert 3” casters withrubber mallet .**Be care-ful to center stem & C-Spring so end of C-Springdoesn’t crawl out of groove& jam. NOTE! It may benecessary to compressends of C-Spring usingneedle nose pliers

STEP 7 Return stand toupright position. Positionsaw to allow for the larg-est compound cuts inboth directions and togain the most supportsurface on the wings.

STEP 8 Mark sites fordrilling.

STEP 9 Remove saw fromstand. Drill holes in topusing slightly oversized bit.

STEP 10 Secure saw tostand with bolts, nuts, andwashers. (included).

STEP 11 Adjust wingheight as needed to bringlevel with miter saw base.This is the only adjust-ment for wing height.

STEP 4 Measure baseheight of saw.

STEP 5 Using tape mea-sure & straight edge, settop shelf below wingsequal to base height ofsaw. Insert bolts & fingertighten nuts.

NOTE! Tighten all bolts butdo not overly tighten boltsat bottom of wing sup-ports. Wing supports needto be able to move freely.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR 3800Instructions for mounting left hand stop system to the 2875 or 2875XL. NOTE: If usedwith a radial arm saw (or any other type of machine) keep end of aluminum extrusionat least 6” from saw blade to prevent any dangerous exposure to the operator.

Step 3 Slide heads ofthe two 5/16” bolts into theappropriate slot on thebottom of the aluminumextrusion and line themup over the two slots in thewing.

Step 4 Roll the extru-sion so the bolts dropthought the slots. Centerthe extrusion left to righton the wing.

Step 5 Align extru-sion and saw face us-ing a long straightedge, then fasten nutstightly.

Step 6 Measure from theleft side of saw bladetooth...

Step 7 ...Out 32” to theright side of the flip stop,then lock in place.

Step 8 Similarly set thetelescoping flip stop at60” from the blade andlock in place.

Step 1 Place Stop Systemon wing of miter sawstand. Align the front edgeof the extrusion with theface of the saw fence.

Step 2 Determine whichset of slots under the alu-minum extrusion bestmatch the mounting slotson the wing for bolting thetwo together.

Step 9 Slide the tapethat came with the stopsystem in the top fronttape groove.

Step 12 and 1-3/8” fromthe left end of the alumi-num extrusion.

Step 13 Slide tape to theleft approximately 18” andbreak the tape at the pen-cil mark by folding thetape over with the num-bers to the outside. If cutwith tin snips, the endswill need to be filed.

Step 14 Push the tapeout the right side approxi-mately 18” past the pen-cil mark. Break the tapeat the mark.

Step 15 Pull off about 2”of the paper backing fromthe right end of the tape(always the end with thesmaller numbers) expos-ing the adhesive material.

Step 16 Slide the tapeback into the extrusion bypulling the tape on theopposite end from theadhesive.

Step 10 Line up the 32”mark on the tape mea-sure with the hairline in-dicator.

Step 11 Put a pencil markon tape measure 1/4”from right end...

Step 17 Position tape sothe 32” line is directly un-der the hairline indicator.

Step 18 Double Checkthat the 32” line is underthe hairl ine indicator.Then push tape downabove the exposedadhesive.

Step 20 Line up the 60”mark on the tape mea-sure with the hairl ineindicator.

Step 21 Mark tape with apencil 1/4” in from the leftend.

Step 22 Slide the tapeout approximately 18”and break it off at thepencil mark.

Step 23 Slide it backthrough the extrusion andout the right side. Repeatsteps 15-18 (substituting32” with 60”)

Step 24 Make final ad-justments if needed byadjusting the hairline in-dicator to either the left orright. Loosen the twomounting screws, set thehairline, and retighten thescrews while holding thehairline firmly in position.

Step 19 Slide the re-mainder of the tape intothe rear tape groove.

An additional tape measure may be purchased to slide into the groove on theface of the aluminum extrusions. This tape would be set up to give you actualreadings from the blade, not like the top tapes that give their readings off thehairlines. This would be used mainly for one of a size cuts. Slide the tape intothe groove and set 24” with 24” on a tape reading from the left side teeth of thesaw blade. Mark and break both ends of the tape and adhere it to the aluminumsimilar to the other tapes. The grooves on the back can be used to attach yourown accessories like clip boards for cutting lists and work lights.
