Pulpingor more than 50 years, Engineered Valves has been manufacturing valves designed

specifically for pulp mill application. Weknow that processes for producing pulpstock almost always varies from machine tomachine and mill to mill. The Fabri-Valve C37 is the work-horse of the pulp mill. This valve

meets or exceeds the MSS and TAPPIstandards for knife gate valves. Plus, the open seat area on the C37 allowsfor use in higher consistency stockwhere other manufacturer’s knife gatevalves fall short.

Bleachinghe bleach process has seen dramatic changes over the last

several years. The EPA’s “Cluster Rules”demand changes in technologies,chemicals, and valve performance. Ourvalves meet the rigorous standardsand requirements of the modernbleach plant. From our TFE/PFA linedproducts in chlorine dioxide genera-tion to high alloy specialty knife gates,we meet the challenges. The latestimprovement? The Vortex Breaker is an extended-life component designed to

Fabri-Valve®

Located in Amory, Mississippi, the ITT Industries Fabri-Valve manufacturingplant produces a wide range of knifegate valves and specialty valves for thepulp and paper industry. At EngineeredValves, every valve is assembled, tested,and checked for quality. Certified inover 100 weld procedures, ITT buildsboth cast and fabricated valves.

In 2000, we introduced “EnergizedPacking” to the knife gate valve market.This unique process utilizes an unrivaledresilient cored packing to provide mem-ory. This packing process results ingreater cycle life, with fewer adjust-ments. “Energized Packing” is standardon all Fabri-Valve knife gate valves.

These valves meet the MSS-SP81 andTAPPI 405-8 standards. Knife gatevalves are built to 150 cold workingpressure as standard. And EngineeredValves has the capability to fabricatevalves to much higher pressures if thejob requires it.

Fabri-Valves:

C37R/S – 2"-24" Cast body, uni-direc-tional, metal-seated knife gate valve.304, 316, and 317L stainless as stan-dard. Available in stainless steel or mildsteel yokes. Options include D-ring seatfor bubble-tight shut-off, replaceableresilient seat for bubble-tight shut-offand easy replacement, V-port for throt-tling, flush ports, and backing ring forreverse pressure.

C67R/S – 2"-36" Cast body, bubble-tight, bi-directional, resilient seated,knife gate valve. 304, 316, and 317Lstainless as standard. Black or whiteEPDM, black or white Viton, and AFLASare the most popular seat materials.Available in stainless steel or mild steelyokes. Options include chest liners forhigh solids and V-port for throttling.

C42S – 2"-24" Cast body, rejects/cleaner,knife gate valve. 316 stainless steelbody, Stellite overlaid face and boreseat, hardened gate, flush ports, andstandard oversized cylinders.

C133GL – 2"-24" Cast body valve forbubble-tight, bi-directional shut-off ongreen or white liquor and lime mudapplications. 316 stainless steel body,nickel/TFE coated gate, AFLAS seats.

F39R/S – 2"-48" Fabricated slide gatevalve for difficult slurries and dry solidsapplications. Fabricated versatility pro-vides the ability to modify the valve tohandle many difficult applications.

C132R/S – 3" Cast body transmitter iso-lation valve, metal or D-ring seat, flushmount tank flange, ratchet operator.

Dia-Flo®

At our manufacturing plant inLancaster, Pennsylvania, we build Dia-Flo straightway and weirdiaphragm valves. These valves providebubble-tight shut-off for clear liquidsand slurries, bonnet isolation frommedia, and streamlined flow path. TheDual Range bonnet utilized on Dia-Floweir valves provides for both controland bubble-tight shut-off in a singlevalve. In the pulp and paper industry,Dia-Flo diaphragm valves are used inaggressive solids, severe corrosives, andfor demineralized water applications.Dia-Flo valves are rated up to 200 psi.Both straightway and weir valves areavailable with a wide variety of actua-tion options.

Dia-Flo Valves:

Dia-Flo Weir Valves – 1/2" -12" Unlinedbody materials include bronze, castiron, ductile iron, cast steel, 316 stain-less steel, and Alloy 20 CN7M. Castiron or ductile iron bodies are linedwith neoprene, glass, soft and hardrubber, butyl, hypalon, Tefzel, PVC,Polypropylene, PFA, and PVDF.Diaphragm choices include butyl,hypalon, EPDM, BUNA-N, natural rub-ber, neoprene, Viton, and PTFE withbacking cushion.

Dia-Flo Straightway Valves – 1/2"-12"Unlined body materials include cast andductile iron, 316 stainless steel, andcast steel. Cam-Tite®

Cam-Tite top entry ball valves are usedin diverse, uncompromising severe service applications for shut-off of corrosive or lethal liquids and gases.The Cam-Tite utilizes a unique geometry ball, to cam the ball into the seat – providing positive shut-offregardless of line pressure. ANSI class150, 300, and 600 valves are availablein flanged, buttweld, socketweld, andthreaded designs. Cam-Tite top entryball valves are also produced in ourLancaster, Pennsylvania plant.

Cam-Tite Ball Valves – 1/2"-6" Bodymaterial choices include WCB, LCB, LC-1, 304 and 316 stainless steel, Alloy 20, Monel, Hastelloy C, Nickel,Titanium, and Inconel. Ball choicesinclude 316 stainless steel, Monel,Hastelloy C, Inconel, ceramic, nickel,and titanium. Seat materials includeRTFE, PTFE, UHMW-P, PEEK, EPDM, and carbon filled PTFE. The Cam-Tite is available with a variety of coverchoices including standard, extended,severe service with and without lantern ring, and bellows sealed.

Richter™

Richter lined ball valves and butterflyvalves are manufactured in Germanywith necessary assembly and modifica-tions performed in our Lancaster,Pennsylvania plant. Richter valves arelined for use in corrosive applicationsand are ANSI 150 dimensions and pres-sure class rated. All Richter valves areepoxy coated, with stainless steel hard-ware as standard.

Richter Valves:

BV Ball Valves – 1/2"-8" PFA lined stan-dard port ball valves. Ball choicesinclude PFA lined, and oxide ceramicwith PFA lined stem. Options includelocking device, vented ball, and anti-static lining.

KNA Ball Valves – 1/2"-6" PFA lined fullport ball valves. Ball choices include PFAlined, and oxide ceramic with PFA linedstem. Options include double packing,double packing with monitoring port,locking device, vented ball, and anti-static lining. Also available with V-portconfigured ball for control applications.

NK Butterfly Valves – 2"-16" wafer or lug pattern PTFE lined butterfly valveswith PFA lined disc. Available optionsinclude safety stuffing box, safety stuffing box with leak detection port,and anti-static lining.
